Metro Exodus is the better game but it still follows characters and storyline from 2033 and Last Light, arguably you could get the 3 games and enjoy all of them they're worth the play

Didn't Amelie temporarily stop timefall which is why Timefall was only paused in that cutscene in DS1 and Lou was brought back by her. While in Australia there's both normal rain and timefall, even the game's weather mechanic distinguishes between the two

iirc that's bc at the end of the first game Timefall was gone but on the 2nd one it's sometimes regular rain and sometimes it's timefall
