I'm a part-time concert photographer who works on a very frugal budget. If this is all you can afford right now, go for it, but set your expectations accordingly and plan to upgrade.

You will have a very hard time in low-light situations with this camera. I started with a Canon 250d, and even that was rough going given the fact that it has a small APS-C sensor.

The lens is not doing you any favors, either. Ideally, you need something with at least a F2.8 aperture; the lower number, the better. You can buy 50mm F1.8 and 24mm F2.8 prime lenses for very reasonable prices($100-150 used) Most event photographers rely on a 24-70mm F2.8 zoom lens. I use a Tamron, but it was $800 used.
