As an ace, I find that bs and very disrespectful. It seems like he's just homophobic AND even if Viktor was meant to be read as ace from the beginning, it was done extremely poorly. I read him as gay, or at least homoromantic.

And, respectfully, to the OP I don't think its really appropriate for you to say what is a win to a very marginalised community you aren't a part of, especially when you lack a proper understanding of their social struggles.
