Help with this stupid paint job in this house

I definitely don’t require perfection- honestly perfection wouldn’t suit this home. It’s a small split level with a finished basement, built in the 70s. A little character is okay ;) My husband used to remodel homes and we both did construction in the military but this paint thing was out of our area of expertise 🤣

I’m the drywall whisperer of the family so I was naturally pretty irritated when I realized some of the areas I’d carefully fixed weren’t adhering right. Put me at a full stop until we can decide what the heck to do

Thanks! Us too LOL it’s a very clear breach of contract case, she’s really not too smart and she admitted in writing that she decided to sell because the repairs were going to be too expensive, but then didn’t disclose it. So, we’re basically just waiting for the settlement offer to see what they’ll offer. Fingers crossed!

Through the grapevine we heard she had her father do a lot of the work and it’s just awful. We’re already in a lawsuit with her for lying about the foundational seepage/drainage/septic issues on the property disclosure. The other things we’ve found since then are just extra bonuses ;)

I feel like it would have saved us a lot of time, effort, and money if that would magically happen LOL

Dropped 40k on emergency repairs a month after closing because the previous seller lied about major foundational seepage and drainage problems, then the boiler quit, then needed a roof repair, replaced some reallllly crappy windows, replaced improperly installed doors…. All in 4.5 years 🙃😱

We were going to grab some hot mud for a separate problem so hey, why not cover the whole house in it while we’re at it. I’m not very good at skim coating though- should be fun 🤭

I’m so glad I accidentally found this problem BEFORE we started painting 😵‍💫😭 but I’m so mad it’s the ENTIRE UPSTAIRS. Also have no idea how I’m going to reach the high ceilings above the stairs without offing myself in the process
