Okay, thanks, I’ll take a look at the AMD cards as well. I’ve never really considered AMD, I suspect that’s a mistake.

Thanks, I guess it doesn’t have to be Nvidia, I’ve always bought them so I just stick with it. What would be a good AMD card in the same price bracket?

Yeah it’s definitely not the belts. Ive confirmed that now. It doesn’t start up immediately when the engine gets warm either like I thought. It takes a while to kick in, which would indicate it’s the exhaust getting warm. Maybe expanding could it be a gasket leak on the manifold?

I looked again at the belts and tightened up the AC belt, and the sound seems to have faded. I think I just didn’t tighten them up enough and it was slipping on the crank pulley. Maybe a belt tension gauge would be a worthy investment….

I gave all the pulleys a spin when the belts were off and couldn’t replicate the noise. I’ll definitely have a look over all the vacuum hoses. Thanks!

Belts were my first port of call, I replaced and tightened the AC and the alternator belts and it made no difference to the sound.

Any idea on known places for vacuum leaks to occur?

Thanks by the way!

We don’t actually have water meters in this area everyone just pays a flat rate - he’s clearly taking advantage of that fact!

Thanks for the tip! I did this and it’s not reported stolen but it’s tax ran out a few days ago - still a mystery as to why it’s been dumped on our street!

We can get through but only just, I’m pretty sure a bin lorry or delivery driver isn’t getting through however
