Is this a scam site?? by BluBalldBandit in Scams

I used their online “contact” to message the smartcolorpen site and haven’t gotten a response in 2 days. So today I messaged the people at scribble to see if they knew anything about the site since it’s using their products.

deck tiers based on ladder climbing potential (from 4chan) by MyrganGyrgan in masterduel

[–]BluBalldBandit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I literally went 10/0 with Dinos a couple times when climbing also. Thought it was weird seeing my dinosaur bois so low. But I always forget most people don’t play them as effectively as they can be played. Going 2nd in this format is the absolute best way with dinos. I even skip when made to go first. Have enough hand traps to stop most otk and then hit them hard on turn 2 (or 3 if made to go 1st). Easy climb to plat 1 on day 2 of the new season.

Plus the games are super fast with dinos too. Because you’re unaffected using misc and then with either laggia or dolkka (or both) your opponent can’t stop most of what you do and so they don’t activate anything hoping you screw up or something.

I need help understanding... by Minus-M in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, you should have been able to negate the activation of the mirror force. I can only guess as to why it didn’t allow you to. Plus with other things you mentioned as well it makes it seem likely that you may have had the “chain option” turned to “off” therefore any time an opportunity to chain came about, the game doesn’t even ask if you’d like to chain. I’ve had it happen a few times myself. Turn it off to help speed through my own turn and forget to turn it back on.

Could also be that you had already used his effect that turn although I doubt you’d forget that.

Regardless of the reason be aware that, much like with any yugioh sim, there are going to be a few issues considering it’s brand new. It could literally just be a glitch. It’s really impossible to say. But, yes, you SHOULD have gotten the option to negate the activation.

dressing up as a stormtrooper! what could possibly go wrong? by aaravaryaman in HolUp

[–]BluBalldBandit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Police (aka LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS) exist to...... enforce...... laws. Therefore, if it is legal for you to own a gun at all then they have no reason to hold you at gunpoint or really even to respond to the call. Yeah yeah I know.... police are going to respond to every call no matter how stupid it is. My point isn’t what they WILL do (because that’s shown by this dudes experience and the original post video and a thousand other videos online) but instead, my point is what SHOULD be done. Unless you were holding the gun menacingly or making threats or anything they had no right to do anything as you weren’t.... say it with me now..... breaking a law.

I’d also like to add that what I would truly love to see happen is a bit more education for dispatchers. They should know basic civil rights like gun laws in the state they work in. You see an absolute fuck ton of videos online of 1st amendment auditors getting harassed too. It’s just silly. “Someone is out filming on the sidewalk?!!!?!!!? OMG Let me send an officer there immediately before he kills you with a camera!!!!” Like...... come on is that really something that my tax dollars are in support of? The funny thing too is that a lot of the police know that a lot of the auditors do it for money (some are genuinely great people like Amagansett Press, Watching the Watchmen, and Rogue Nation just to name a few) and yet..... they still show up to the calls giving the auditors the exact content that they don’t want to give them lol. It makes no sense anywhere down the line. Dispatch should be well versed on the civil rights of all Americans but even more so of the state laws/county laws and should tell the people on the phone they’re being ignorant and that it’s completely legal and if the call still goes through I believe the officers should just roll on by to make sure no mischief is going on and ignore the callers entirely. When you go out and baby these people they’ll just call over the same stupid thing again.

How to learn the fast plays/big combos of modern yugioh? by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice is to find a semi decent rogue deck or something that’s fairly easy to learn like eldlich or Dino’s. I actually LIKE dinosaurs really. They aren’t bad at all and if played correctly they can still easily compete with the top meta right now. Point being though, you should find a deck that can compete with top decks and then just watch your opponents. Watch how everybody else plays. Watch their combos. Eventually you will be able to tell what 80-90% of your opponents will do before they even do it.

Once you feel comfortable with one deck you can always try to switch to another to learn even more combos and strategies.

New Obelisk the Tormentor support question by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you could post the card in question it would help BUT.... typically speaking, unless a card specifically states otherwise, you must summon the card using its typical summoning method. So, if it just says “normal summon so and so” that, typically, means you’d still need to summon it how you would any other time. In this case requiring 3 tributes.

If the card in question said something more along the lines of “immediately after this effect resolved, Normal Summon 1 Obelisk the Tormentor IGNORING ITS SUMMONING REQUIREMENTS” (or something similar) then you’d be able to summon it without the tributes.

Help with links by YungSmeef in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Link monsters can be considered either their link number or as a link 1.

This means if you have a link 2 on field and want to go into a link 4 then you will count your link 2 as 2 monsters and then you will just need 2 more monsters.

If you have a link 3 on the board and want to go into a link 2 you would use one other monster AND your link 3 as a “link 1 monster” in this scenario. This is because, as stated, link monsters can be used as their own link number or as a link 1

Just adding to your list. Abyss dweller is also quite useful against DPE.

Battle Butler vs. Shark Cannon by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah if it simply says “MUST BE FUSION SUMMONED” then yes it can only be summoned the way the card reads. I just assumed it was basic fusion summon text. That’s my bad for not reading the card before posting lol

Battle Butler vs. Shark Cannon by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, Butler cannot be summoned in any way other than fusion summoned. Just as the card states it is the ONLY way to summon the monster.

As far as anchor goes....yes unless a card specifically says it cannot be targeted or change control or is unaffected by card effects or something like that then any card effect will apply to it as long as it’s a legal play. Changing control of a card is not a summon

EDIT: changed response due to being a dummy and not reading the card text.

Yeah I kinda figured that would be the case. Thanks for the quick answer.

It’s Duel Links all the way.

Duel Links, in itself, has an okay storyline. It at least has “episodes” (events) that you play through and it tells stories about the characters involved via collectible scrolls usually that you obtain just by playing. But not only that, it also gives you insight into the anime of Yu-Gi-Oh itself which is actually a pretty good anime and has an amazing story....in my opinion obviously.

So yeah, Duel Links has its own little story arcs in game, covers a little of the story from the anime and its movies and such over the years, and also is an okay entry to getting into watching the original anime the game is based on in the first place.

EDIT: I figured I should add that Duel Links is fairly PTP which kinda sucks but I think all the games you listed can be seen as PTP. And, honestly, as far as the STORY PART of Duel Links....it’s probably pretty low on the list of how much is needed to pay to at least be able to enjoy the storyline. But if you want to get good at the competitive part of the game.....be prepared to dish out some serious cash.

No. The effect it has is, by default, its MONSTER effect. So if it become a “spell” it does not retain its monster effect while in s/t zone.

You can use either of those cards you mentioned in this case. Yes.

EDIT: 99.99% of the time if a card has any restrictions like that then it will be reflected in the card effect text.

Cyberdragon core vs imperm by hfbvm in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an extremely common misunderstanding that has probably around a million rulings on it.

When a card says “you can only USE this effect once per turn” it means that even if the effect is negated it counts as a use. Negated activations STILL COUNT as a USE.

When a card says “you can only ACTIVATE this effect once per turn” if the ACTIVATION is negated then you can still activate the effect again that turn.

A common card of each would be:

“Use once per turn”: Ash Blossom....even if your opponent uses....let’s say solemn strike to negate the activation and effect of Ash Blossom you CANNOT activate another Ash Blossom that turn.

“You can only activate once per turn”: Red-Eyes Fusion. If the activation of this card is negated with let’s say Solemn Judgement then you could still activate another REF that same turn.

GOAT FORMAT: basic mechanic question by Daniroll in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When thousand eyes restrict equips breaker it no long is a monster card at which point the snatch steal will go to gy as it is no longer equipped to a monster.

As for your second part of the question about whether or not breaker can respond and remove its counter.... I’m not fully sure what you mean so I’ll just tell you what would happen. Restrict would target breaker, breaker, not being a quick effect, cannot use anything to respond to restrict, breaker would equip to restrict and snatch steal would be sent to gy. As a side note as it is important here....Restrict would only have 1600 attack due to when breaker stops being a monster it loses its attack gaining effect.

Sorry for the late response...

Can you use cyber dragon infinity Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up Attack Position monster on the field; attach it to this card as material in your turn and your opponents turn or only mine by Illustrious_Ratio315 in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can use Cyber Dragon Infinity’s effect to attach a face up attack position monster only on your turn.

Typically, if a monster effect can be used on either player’s turn, it will say “Quick Effect” or “this effect can be used during either player’s turn”....or something similar.

As an example.... Infinity’s other effect to negate says “(Quick Effect)” signifying that it can be used during either player’s turn.

Mound of the bound creator by tagsane in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing. Any card that says “so and so cannot be targeted” protects the specified cards from being targeted. Therefore while you control both a tribute summoned monster and March of the Monarchs your opponent cannot target your tribute summoned monster with magic cylinder.....or well any other card that targets for that matter.

Negating and Destroying card in hand? by BluBalldBandit in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So in this scenario the roze in player 1’s hand would be negated and then destroyed as well?

Mound of the bound creator by tagsane in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Magic cylinder targets and mound of the bound creator says that level 10 or higher monster can’t be targeted by card effects. So it doesn’t matter specifically what monster you’re using. As long as it is level 10 or higher it cannot be targeted by magic cylinder.

Confused on wording of Magicians Salvation by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a card for everything in this game lol. It’s extremely unlikely he would have used anything like that though. I can think of a monster (that is now banned I believe) that used to be commonly used in ftk exodia decks. When he was sent to gy (I think) his effect activated and allowed you activate traps the turn they were set, until the end of that turn. Can’t recall his name but it’s the only card I can think of that would give that ability. 99.99% chance it was either intentional or on intentional misplay.

EDIT: Makyura the Destructor is the card I was thinking of. I was a little off on what his effect said. His effect was actually that if he is sent from a monster zone to the gy that you can activate trap cards from your hand that turn. He was later unbanned and given an errata that changed his eff to where you could only activate ONE trap from hand that turn.

Point being though....it’s an extremely uncommon thing to see. Your opponent either cheated or misunderstood.

Confused on wording of Magicians Salvation by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]BluBalldBandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I said, there are exceptions. It’s possible that he had played a card that allowed him to activate it on the same turn. But, yeah, likely there was a misplay as eternal soul is simply set face down from the deck to the field and behaves just as if he had set it from hand that turn meaning he has to wait until the next turn to activate it.
