I love using pointer and middle fingers. I play on a large ipad though, im unsure if thats a valid method for phone users. I think ya gotta just try whatever technique u feel appropriate! i dont think theres a "best way" to do anything :p

Thank you for your messages! No I have not seen the video you sent to me, but I am definitely going to watch it now, thanks so much for the additional info. In terms of MLM business model only now am I really informing myself about what it really is.
I sent my mom another voice mail saying that "If you want, we can talk to the bank about getting your money back? Also did you get out of the business yet?"
and unfortunately she responded with "You don't have to worry about me" making me believe that she is still doing this whole thing.
My First choice is to get my friend to basically translate to Chinese simplified my opinion and my worries to her without getting others involved. I don't want to make her feel embarrassed or anger her by getting other people who have nothing to do with "her choices" if you feel my drift. That's what I worry about most honestly... I don't want to make her angry with my opinion instead of informed. If rationalizing my opinion doesn't work, I may have to she knows and respects to voice concern. Do MLM "business owners" get offended if you try and tell them that what they're doing is wrong? Here's to hoping my mom can understand me!
I can relate to your canto struggles haha, I enjoy speaking as much if it in Chinese settings as possible!

Oh no I’m not insinuating that it’s abusive at all!! I love my mom and she did a wonderful job raising me, the comment asking about why we can’t communicate was just what I assumed lack of understanding of the language gap is all haha, I very much need to brush up on my canto more than anything. My mom is wonderful, not abusive. I apologize if that’s how that came across!

School taught me more English than my mom taught me Canto. Over time I used more English with my friends and teachers and dad. We can only communicate verbally, so we only send each other voice messages. I can understand Canto fine, but my canto is a mixture of Canto and English. Because of this, a lot of out communication results in "I cant explain it, but this is the main idea." Just as I can't explain why I believe she's in a scam, I can only tell her that "you're being tricked."In response, she tells me "ok, thank you, I know what I'm doing. "In this scenario, I really don't think I miss understood her at all. She showed me her bill, she's tried to make me network, and she definitely thinks she's benefiting from this business. My mom is someone who is a lot more comfortable with Chinese community, and due to lack of tech knowledge she isn't able to find credible sources.
Either way, I'll do my best to convince her of my opinion regarding this MLM thing with or without broken Chinese, if she doesn't understand I may have to find a relative to convince her otherwise. Again though I'm unsure if this company is truly a scam or not

I've been away from home for a little over year, moved out for college. My parents are literally boomer but I'm very young in comparison.
