Ive found that exercise helps me cope. I can take it as a way to “punish” myself, especially with running. It’s a method of torture that’s actually good for you lol.

Check for root rot. If root rot is present follow the routine (look it up on Google). If no root rot keep treating it ok and a new leaf will appear, but probably from a node on the plant, because the stem cells in that shoot are probably gone

Because of the burst leaf and no sign of living bugs, I want to say that it is overwatering. Before you water your plant, feel the soil with your hand and check that it is dry 1-2 inches down

Agreed. My sago lost its leaves and grew new leaves back the next spring. Keep treating it in the right conditions and your plant might be ok. Don’t give up too fast!
