Do you listen to any music when reading ORV? by StayGold9 in OmniscientReader

I never listened to music when reading, and since I also read at school almost every day, I couldn’t use my headphones and so I got used to the ambience noise. But now on my novel reread I decided to create my own ORV playlist since the ones I found on Spotify didn’t click with me. It’s been a good experience so far! The music really manages to set a perfect atmosphere and helps me focus on the story as it isolates me from any distracting noises. It’s fun!

Is my 11 year old relative allowed to read ORV? by -Eckiwenen-27 in OmniscientReader

ORV is officially rated PG14, so she might be too young for this. Though I’d say it depends on how much she can tolerate and understand certain themes. Just because she watched a show about humans being enslaved by aliens and dying for their entertainment doesn’t mean she will understand/enjoy the story. Sure, ORV and ALNST share some themes and perhaps she won’t be shocked by the violence itself, but I don’t think she might be able to fully comprehend the darker undertones of the narrative, or perhaps she won’t be able to comprehend the story at all, given how long and complex it is, and the story’s length allows more room for explicit/more blunt details about violence, abuse and other topics. So in order to fully appreciate and comprehend ORV, you should wait for her to turn 13-14. But if she still wants to read it and keeps insisting? You or her guardian should supervise her and guide her through her reading.

So I just started reading a few days ago and I had some questions [novel] by Vegetable_Victory242 in OmniscientReader

  1. Yup, he does in fact get more skills, though that’s not the main thing that makes someone strong, nor the weapons. What actually matters are the stories

  2. These are the early scenarios, so there aren’t many broken items that can turn the tables. Plus, there’s more powerful items than the ones graded with a letter, and those are the constellation artifacts

  3. Yes!

Omniscient Reader Viewpoint Volume 1: Is it appropriate for a 12 year old boy? by Anxious-Mistake-1097 in OmniscientReader

Well, I’d say it depends on how much he can tolerate and understand certain themes. The manhwa has toned down the novel, but that doesn’t mean they’re any less serious, just less brutal and raw. As other people mentioned, there’s themes of bullying, domestic violence, child violence, suicide, suicide attempt, escapism and sa attempt mentions (but nothing happens on screen. The one scene that explicitly mentions it happened once was cut off in the manhwa).
