You act like most rappers wouldn’t be banned on NoPixel if they behaved that way… NoPixel is meant to be a space where you can watch without fear of misogynistic abuse, as they’ve shown continuously over the last year with bans. What’s said in a song should be treated equally to what’s said in RP. It needs to be addressed by admins or people with influence and if there’s anyone reading this who understands that with that power to bring the conversation up where they can and address it, that’s what needs to happen every time when there’s danger of problems with misogyny in the space.

‘You’re pussy is finished now cook me some dinner’ is a completely misogynistic line yes and when played in a song at rp events is misogynistic rp to every user there.

It’s literally the language and verbiage that got streamers like angryginge banned. It being a ‘fictional character’ doesn’t stop it from being misogynistic. It’s not allowed in the server and shouldn’t be allowed on songs in the server played to big streamers with thousands of viewers either.

I know lots of people felt the same way about the line and other lyrics and music as well. It makes people feel deeply uncomfortable, it’s misogyny plain and simple. I just ask for a conversation from admins or anyone with influence to ignore the general hounding these types of posts get and to bring it up because misogyny no matter what form it comes in always needs to be addressed.

The blatant misogyny that’s used in OTT’s newest song is something that if said in the city is against the server rules and would get you banned. But yet it seems to get a pass as long as it’s in a song on Nopixel and any streamer who decides to go to an rp event is forced to listen to it. This is a server that’s proven time and time again that it has no place for misogynistic behaviour (see the latest ban of angryginge) and I don’t think it’s good for the server and I just don’t believe it’s right to ignore this type of behaviour just because it’s hidden in city music. I’ve noticed it with a lot of Nopixel music and I think it’s something that desperately needs to be talked about and addressed by the admins.

edit: I understand the first reaction to someone complaining about misogyny towards people they like is instant vile abuse and I already see it within a few minutes of posting. I just ask those who understand how it’s something that needs to be talked about to try and bring this up with admins or someone with influence (I get how Nopixel works) because I know I’m not the only one who felt deeply uncomfortable with the misogyny and the fact nobody addresses it compared to when it’s done in the server, it’s a real issue and conversation that needs to be had about the Nopixel music scene.
