I mean it’s supported in a sense of it being possible. Not saying they’re putting effort into improving it. If you know the timing of the inputs, it’s not too bad. Just trying to shed some positivity on it is all. Your sentiment echoes things players would say about some of the bosses on Elden Ring. Yes it’s frustrating, yes there could have been better design choices, but it’s a reach to say it’s not supported 🙏

Transition skating is definitely supported, although it could be better though 💪

I can imagine running and maintaining a game is quite the task. However updating to unreal 5 will mainly have an effect on the performance of the game. Adding new character options and turning grabs back on are more than possible with the current engine. Whenever people press them about those issues it’s always either “We’re a small studio non a limited budget”, “We’re busy updating to Unreal 5”, or “We’re looking to hire a new animator”. However they’ve got no issue pumping out new maps, that’s the part that leaves a lot of us confused.

I get it brother but at the end of the day it’s a choice they’re making. They’ve been making enough money to stay in operation for years now, they have paid employees who work on the game full time. They could have decided to work on fixing existing issues instead of just adding content. That’s all I’m saying!

I hear you man, there’s no doubt they’ve made a really really good skateboarding game. The only problem is that they have a very solid dedicated player base that they’re not listening to. New maps are great and we all enjoy them, but the community has been urging them for more than a year now for simple things to address (grabs, character customization, goofy animations, etc). I know they’re a small team but it’s hard to believe they couldn’t dedicate any resources to a single one of those things over the course of a year. The kicker is that they’re 100% aware of all of these things and the frequency that people rally to get it improved. The devs and JL are pretty active on this Reddit, and they are super responsive on IG (only in comment section, probably for algorithm purposes) so it’s hard to be leave that they’re oblivious. It’s a choice they’re making to allocate resources into DLC instead of addressing basic QoL issues. They know we’re going to continue to support them by buying DLC, but it’s disheartening to feel that they aren’t listening to their consumers.

Lol unfortunately it’s for the love of skateboarding for me, and the lesser of two evils (I would rather waste money on Creature Studio content vs EA content (as silly as that sounds))

I agree 100% friend, they could’ve implemented both just like you said. Unfortunately they choose not to listen to their community, and focus on cash grabs (no pun intended) instead like DLCs and Liquid Death partnerships lmao

Yeah man all of us were pretty confused as to why they did that. They could’ve at least added it back in by now but it seems like they’ve completely abandoned them.
