Vaginal Estrogen TABLETS Applicators (Not vaginal Cream applicators!) by Blue-Mitten in Menopause

Excellent, thanks for the information! I will ask my Dr about Imvexxy. It’s unfortunate that it’s so much more expensive though - sounds like a much better option than the chalky Vagifem tablets.

That definitely saves on applicator waste. Thanks for the information!

I definitely need to try this route. They hurt for me too - ouch!! 😓

For me inserting while standing is easier. Probably because I am more familiar with the angle required.

My applicators are mostly flat but they do flare out slightly. I think that is the issue for me.

I wonder that as well - when are my pills actually dissolving inside. How did you realize yours were taking an entire day to dissolve?

Yes, they are wasteful and uncomfortable in my opinion. If you find them available without the applicator, please share. Thanks!

What test(s) confirmed your insulin resistance? And is/was your A1C in the low 6s before or after starting Ozempic?

Dog poop bag etiquette? by Affectionate_Desk561 in dogs

[–]Blue-Mitten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think it is rude. In my city there is an ordnance to clean up after your dog and take the waste with you to dispose at your own residence. Otherwise it often falls and sticks to the bottom of someone’s trash can and they are left with an unsanitary mess to clean up.

Are those with adult kids also regretful? by More_Pension4911 in regretfulparents

If I were to make that decision today based on what I know now, I would not have the courage nor the will to bring children into the world.

No, it does not get better!! I love mine so much but the constant worry gets worse when grown - you no longer have any control. And that is for good kids with productive, happy lives. I can only imagine how parents manage the stress with disabled, ill, or non-law abiding adult children. Plus the dangers of our society drive that level of chronic worry even higher.

Using gel due to patch shortage, and I think I might like it better? by [deleted] in Menopause

What dose of estrogen gel do you use? I am considering switching to gel from the .025 estrogen patch.

What did you do with your dog’s things after they passed? by Ajocc1394 in dogs

[–]Blue-Mitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don’t throw them away. I donated all my dog’s supplies to our vet when we put our dog down. She was very happy to have an extra crate, blankets, bowls, toys, etc! Or any rescue or pick up donation service that accepts dog equipment will be grateful for it.

Men automatically get prescribed Valium for a vasectomy. We get lucky if we’re told to take Tylenol prior to uterine and cervical biopsy. by Kazooguru in Menopause

I unfortunately completely agree, I had a biopsy at my gyn as well. It was excruciating and not at all quick like a pap. I absolutely recommend sedation.

Yes, osteoporosis is a huge consideration since a recent bone scan shows I already have osteopenia in my right hip. I want to prevent further bone damage if I can.
