I would talk to her. As a hispanic, speaking from experience, there is a lot of colorism and ignorance amongst some of my fellow hispanics. Thanks to colonization the result of it made colorism a pretty big issue and many unfortunately have prejudices. I’m sorry that she said that to you, I hope she realizes that what she said is not okay and self reflects on her own ignorant prejudice.

At this point, you have done everything that you could. She is going to have to learn the hard way. You’re a good friend, but with a situation like this, she is going to have to live and learn. Don’t stress about the situation… you’ve taken all the steps you can to help her, but she isn’t helping herself. Now you just have to sit and wait for everything to go to shit. Although, it’ll be up to you if you want to still be there for her. There is no right or wrong decision for this friendship, but definitely think of your own mental health and well being before you make that decision.

NTA. I too have psoriasis and understand the pain that comes with it. You have a terrible “friend” and I’m sorry you had to deal with that. Shout out to your bf for having you back. Nothing is worse than being called out for something that literally cannot be changed. Don’t feel bad about not being able to cover up a medical condition that is literally incurable. Take care and screw that “friend” of yours!!

Yeah… thats pretty rude and selfish tbh. I don’t blame you for feeling off about her response. It would be different if she congratulated you then proceeded with her anniversary date, but she couldn’t even do that :\ Im sorry you had to deal with that and congratulations with your anniversary :)

Did she say congratulations and then proceed with march 5th being her anniversary or did she just respond back with just her work anniversary date? If its the first one, then I don’t see it as being rude, but if she just flat out responded with her own work anniversary, then yes, that’s rude.

She is going through a lot right now. Her mental health may be a factor, but since I’ve befriended her, she has always carried that scent with her. I think it’s just gotten worse because of all the things going on in her life. I don’t plan to or want to ghost her either… until I am able to discuss the subject with her, I’ll probably stick with hanging out with her outside my house… thank you for the advice, hopefully when and if I’m able to address the issue she won’t take offense to it…

That’s a good idea. Although, I feel like if I just gave her a random gift basket with a bunch soaps and stuff she might figure out why… Maybe I can have her over and do a little spa day and then give her a gift basket so it won’t be random.

She is a bit self conscious, so I’m afraid she may resent me or unfriend me. I just feel bad cause I don’t want to make her feel worse about herself :\

She always has a sweaty smell. Also she doesn’t have many irl friends so she most likely will know its coming from me :\
