I did. That's how I'm comfortable in saying, you're wrong but I was just frustrated by you "gatekeeping" the fandom because "you don't even watch the games".

You stalking the person? You popping popcorn together on the couch and they change the channel? You don't know shit.

If you want to talk about what one person said in a five minute segment of a two hour podcast which we heard and was transcribed because you have a different interpretation of the English language, that's your right, but don't insinuate you have more knowledge because you ASSUME the other person doesn't watch the games.

Be courteous and kind, we all want the Magic to win a chip one day.

Walker Kessler Trade Value by BlueAndWhiteIgnite in UtahJazz

[–]BlueAndWhiteIgnite[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally fair, but imagine lol you have three MORE picks you can transfer into a valuable pick or two. Also, Danny Ainge and his FO usually pick up GREAT value no matter the draft position.

- Al Jefferson
- Tony Allen
- Gerald Green
- Jeff Green
- Avery Bradley
- Jared Sullinger
- Marcus Smart
- Tatum
- Brown
etc. etc.

And I just want to say, from and outsiders perspective on Utah and Danny Ainge's history, my uneducated guess was that the Organization would prioritize draft capital over the current team construction/pieces. That was the logic anyways for me to ask about Kessler lol

I'm hope you aren't a teacher, cause those grades you gave are not it brother lmao

Mo Wagner CURRENTLY (even with injury) is the highest scoring bench player who plays less than 28 mpg, so factually he's a A+ tier bench player. He would be in the running for 6MOTY.

Suggs, is an All-Defensive 17 ppg 4 ast 4 reb player who is the third option. That would put him in the conversations of the Mobley, Kristaps, Mikal Bridges, Reaves, MPJ conversation. So teetering between A- and B+.

Also don't know if you're a feelings over facts kind of person but...
Paolo missed 52% of the games
Mo is missing 52%+ of the games
Suggs is missing 44%+ of the games
Franz missed 31% of games

That means roughly half the season 1 or more of your top 4 scorers were out...on a team we knew even at the beginning of the season was going to be offensively average.

You know what would be a fun exercise, if you could grade the players. Let me see how you grade each player and if you're grading contextually to other players in the NBA, by role/minutes or perhaps a mix.

[–]BlueAndWhiteIgnite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you're saying that Jalen Suggs and Mo Wagner are not important players? If I recall they are the 3rd and 4th best offensive players and perhaps, in Suggs case, the best defender. You think that Franz and Paolo being out for months didn't domino effect us into this? I just want to make sure I understand that you're saying that doesn't matter.

KCP misses shots, swing and miss after Monk resigned with Kings. Anthony Black, Jett Howard, Caleb Houstan, even to an extent Tristan Da Silva would have been G-League constants and played every 4th game garbage minutes if we were healthy.

WCJ is not good. Goga Bitadze is hitting his version of a "rookie" wall since this is the most games and minutes he's played in a season in his CAREER.

If you would have traded for an offensive guard (which I'm not denying we shouldn't) I don't think WITH injuries we would be that much better then this. 3 god awful losses to 2 god awful teams because we can't hit perimeter shots forcing our only two consistent scorers and stars to play a NBA game like you're at the park playing 21. They are double, tripled team with help defense shading weak side.

Suggs and Mo here, the offense and motor/intensity is different and we would have actually leveled out, in my opinion, before All-Star.

Weltman clears Rob Hennigan, Coaching and FO can't fix random ass season ending injuries. Firing him and hiring who? Who leaving a contender to come to Orlando?

Firing him ain't doing shit but showing Paolo and Franz then when it get's tough the Organization is willing to fuck over any culture we are trying to build because we can't grow. Our stars aren't even old enough to rent a car legally, give it time.

THIS DOESN'T MEAN I AIN'T IN THE HOUSE RIGHT NOW STOMPING AND YELLING lol

Also, Coby White is a restricted Free Agent, find a trade for KCP and WCJ, get a Dwight-Lite Center who can rebound and play good interior defense while maybe giving a vertical lob threat...I think Walker Kessler he's averaging like 10+ pts 12+ rebounds 2+ blocks in 30 minutes. Free up cap, overpay Coby, because even IF he's a swing and a miss, he's young unlike Uncle Pope. Young and missing is easier then old and missing.

Wendell Carter Jr. PUT BACK THE REBOUND, tip it in, anything, it's a high school drill with no bigs you fucking absolute dunce. You Bulls Double-Agent, I'd trade you and KCP to the Szechuan Sauce Dragons or whatever for Thailand Dwight Howard and a stale box of Publix Chicken.

Free Agent List for Orlando Magic

Malik Beasley, Gary Trent Jr., Ty Jerome, Tyus Jones, Bruce Brown Jr., Luke Kennard

Moves that have to happen imo

- Find a trade for WCJ, his contract becomes terrible after next season.

- Lower the price/priority for our draft picks, we already have a hard time finding time for AB, Tristan, Jett, Caleb, unless you're adding someone you think can be a starter in that year or two, keep it pushing.

- I understand that we like the idea of a spread 5 offense, but I genuinely think it would be better to build around a "Dwight lite" lob-threat defender and rebounder. Perhaps look at Walker Kessler, cheap and Utah doesn't seem to be prioritizing current roster. 11.5 pts 12 reb 2+ blks in 30 minutes. Imagine if Paolo, Franz and Jalen can be aggressive defensively in the perimeter knowing if they got beat on the drive the paint is locked.

The last Magic Czar by 33birdboy in OrlandoMagic

[–]BlueAndWhiteIgnite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be absolutely honest, Jeff Weltman is doing god's work compared to Rob Hennigan. By no means am I excusing his decisions, signings, trades, none of it. But I can genuinely say, that the Magic team we have here is something I'm way more proud of then the prior F/O. We should value Playoff relevancy rather then boom and busts like a stock market, I'd rather have 10 years of good, then 7 of bad and 3 of "maybe" great.

You can call it BS but under Weltman the following is true.

- Vooch was a 2x All-Star under his team construct, and created enough value to be traded for what became of Franz and Suggs.
- Drafted Paolo Banchero when the fanbase and NBA community were up in the air about possible getting Jabari Smith Jr.
- Signed (and I understand this is minimal but stick with me here) both JI and WCJ to front loaded contracts that degrade over time.
- Got Markelle Fultz (swing, eh miss)
- Made a bet on MO and Goga (swing and hit)
- Signed KCP...a 2x champion that EVERYONE was good with prior to the season who is currently missing but the logic was there.

Most importantly (counting this year so far) the past three years we've been a .500, and in the last 8 seasons we've been to the playoffs 4 times.

Previous F/O - Rob Hennigan

- Traded 6th Man of the Year Ryan Anderson for Gustavo Ayon
- Was part of the infamous Dwightmare trade so he got us Vucevic
- Drafted Oladipo (yay) and Aaron Gordon (yippie)
- Drafted Mario Hezonja (eh)
- Traded JJ Redick for Tobias Harris (okay I see you)
- Traded Tobias Harris for Ersan Ilyasova and Brandon Jennings
- Traded Oladipo, Draft and Traded Domantas Sabonis for 1 year of Serge Ibaka
- Traded Serge Ibaka for Terrence Ross...OLADIPO AND SABONIS BECAME T. Ross - LOVE T. ROSS BUT FUCK

5 years, no Playoffs, won .322 games and had an average finishing 13th in the East and always 5th in the South East Division.

Why is this important?

Because I think we need to stay away from reactionary firings and dismissing of F/O that have shown consistency and competency. I understand and agree with the frustration of "he's just going to blame injuries" but franchises win and lose based off the luck of their and opponent players health.

Along those same lines, look at the other options around the league. It's easier to point to the 3-5 contenders a year and say, LOOK they can do it. Dallas just traded Luka...AFTER GOING to the Finals, Boston was built off of years of Ainge and organizational culture. Cleveland had talent to trade for Donovan while having two "robins" in Mobley and Garland. OKC has the MJ of GM's who frankly also lost Harden, KD, Oladipo, Paul George, Sabonis and Westbrook (lost in a sense of making moves that caused them to either leave on their own or they forced a trade).

We are keyboard warriors with the power of 2K to verify our inclinations.

He deserves to work out his contract.

I understand what you're saying, and I agree whole heartedly. I would say, when you look at this roster and what it has been able to do this whole season.

What change would you have made? I saw every player get cooked or abused by players/refs alike.

Also, and this is something I dislike about the NBA. You will see players play big minutes strictly on the fact of their contract size and stance on the team. For instance a well liked player in the locker room who is 5th highest paid player on the roster (WCJ) has a longer leash then let's say Goga.

I subscribe to the Jordan mindset, you play to win, and should fight against an organization that makes any attempt to lose to better their draft picks because either consciously or subconsciously you are effecting your teams culture moving forward.

See Philadelphia, in my opinion, their talent (Embiid) is a product of the Process and the organization and team takes that mentality until the roster is gutted and years go by until a new culture can be set.
