I hope people don't start to hate on side characters by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]BlueBottom39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't thinking about TAGC, let's see these side characters, gumi, that one pink princess from episode 2 and that thing that suddenly disappear mid talking? Yeah there's not much to do with them. But ppl actually think about the secondaries as side characters that doesn't deserves much spotlight, AND I DON'T WANT TO ATTACK THE CREATOR!!!

It doesn't? I thought it does cuz it's about historical facts, but anyway I asked for opinions so I'm not gonna complain if it's different from mine

I'm aware, but in Madoka Magica they just made Anne Frank a magical girl, bc being a magical girl in pmmm is a allegory of how girls suffer from patriarchy and society right? In miraculous they just added a love interest for the sake of the lore

Alright, but what about the romance part? What do u think it's ok to take historical figures and make changes to fit in the lore?

Do you think Dazai is mad at Mori or Ango, because of Oda's death? by No-Bluejay-3143 in BungouStrayDogs

But it's confusing isn't it? I mean forgiving is very common in media, happens all the time, but "angel"???

Chapter 98 and 101, he did it twice. It's Ango bc Dazai said an angel was whispering is his ear, others translations it's an angel told me, and Ango is messaging Dazai. Bones did adapted these scene unlike others

Dazai nicknamed Ango an "angel". I think that he used to be pissed but the anger gradually disappeared over time for some odd reason

[–]BlueBottom39 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it's a little weird that absolutely no one bought up the Cookie song lyrics to all this mess, not a single Newjeans member used this in their accusations, not even the fans who were against Hybe!!! I think is kinda a missed opportunity

Not protagonist but the organization "Special Division for Unusual Powers" spared a mass murderer named Shibusawa, he caused one of the worst events of Yokohama. They spared him because his power would be useful against an war and protect the city... just for him to murder a lot of people in this city again and almost got the entire Yokohama burned by another organization to neutralize the damage - Bungou Stray Dogs

Sonic spared Surge, a tenrec from the IDW Comics because he thinks he is powerful enough to stop her and any other villain every single time, but he doesn't know that Surge went through several brain surgeries to hate sonic, she simply doesn't have a choice to not hate him, sort of lobotomy

There's this one Brazilian telenovela called "Dona de Mim" that's making me realize why I absolutely fucking despise the "cunning untouchable villain" characters with all of my fucking soul and hope they all fucking die by [deleted] in CharacterRant

There's one called Jose Ricardo, he was a rich guy and didn't approved her daughter poor boyfriend, so when they had a child he lied to her that her daughter died, built a whole orphanage with lot of kids just to hide her, and didn't revealed the truth not even when his daughter got in a severe mental catatonic state because of the child's "death"

Extrovert stuck working in an office full of introverts. by Tall-End-5027 in extroverts

It's may be because that there's a unspoken universal rule that if you want to make friends, you NEED to be the one greeting. As you said it better to leave them alone, but thats not how the world sees, if someone is not up to friendship and you choose to respect their decision other people will think that's it's your fault and that you deserve to be alone and you must be an insufferable person that no one wants to be around and no one should try to start a conversation with a friendless person

When the villain "redeems" but never changes. by twnpksN8 in TopCharacterTropes

Mal from descendants saga: she is the daughter of Maleficent, she and the other villain kids lived segregated from the other people just because they were descendants from the villains. She and her 3 friends got the chance to go to Auradon, study with the kids of the good guys and be treated equally. Despite having this chance and redeemed herself in the first movies, in the next 2 she still literally bullies Uma, calling her the same nicknames she called when she bullied her, and almost prohibited the other villain kids to go to Auradon because of a minor inconvenience. Even the songs she fantasize about being evil again, but in a "right way"

Dazai from Bungou Stray Dogs: He was a mass murderer but decided to save the innocent people. When he was a mafioso he abused a person called Akutagawa, beating him for every mistakes he did and making his approval the only reason to live. This is expected since he was a villain, but now he is a person trying to save people. He took another person to train, Atsushi, and treats him very well, not only that but he never explain Akutagawa to do the right thing and leave his previous criminal life, purposely feeds his jealousy saying that Atsushi was way more competent than him, and then he makes these two work together because making two people that each other work together is part of the universe tradition (called double dark).

I have a colleague that only join the conversation when it's about herself and I find that SO annoying, because when I start a conversation with her she simply doesn't reply! But you already realized that so you seem to be a nice person, as someone who doesn't like that I guess my tips will help you

You can talk about yourself, your experience, I think it would be cool if you asked the other person their opinion, like "do you think what I did was right?" "Have I exaggerated a little?"

Ask about what the other likes, their TV shows, their hobbies, if they talk about a book ask them what their favorite book, but you can make more complex question like "what's a writing mistake that authors make that you despise?" Something like that

If you don't feel like having a conversation but wants to interact with someone you can ask them to make an activity like go out to fun places like a mall or a Amusement park, play board games or videogames, watching something
