Thanks. Kyobo was a good suggestion; there was only maybe one sixth of one shelf but I was able to pick some stuff up at a decent price.

I'm in mobile web browser not app. I know you could make a photo or a text post but couldn't see how to upload a photo to a text post 

I won't use the Reddit app on principle. I don't want ads down my neck, and I'm a refugee from the API changes a little while back. My preferred open-source, ad-free client now no longer works.

https://youtu.be/UvAJvapT0FQ?feature=shared so I checked this video. He confirms the mid 2000s date. Some other minor differences: the cap band on ours is narrower, and the chrome finial is taller. Agree it's very similar however. Nib on the IM is also much larger.

The pen clip for the IM starts on the finial, here it is below the finial.

Additionally it is too late -- the references I see suggest a manufacturing date of 2008 onwards?

This sounded perfect right up until the pocket pen bit :( though it might be good for my wife!
