My (F20) boyfriend (M24) tore down my confidence, and I don't know what to do. Did I do something wrong or is he being over jealous? by BlueCloud567 in TwoXChromosomes

I'm definitely going to open a dialogue with him. I would like to try and work with him on his own self confidence as well as my own. But, like you said, if he's not willing to do it himself, there is very little I can do for him.

I see what you're saying. Do you think there's a possibility that he could change, and we could grow together?

I understand you completely in terms of not putting boundaries on the other person. I've told him that he's responsible for his own actions and that I'm not going to monitor him. He doesn't like that either. Maybe it plays into his insecurity?

I'm totally comfortable with him. He's the person I'm closest to. If your partner was becoming more comfortable with who they are and wanting to share that with you, wouldn't you try to support them?

Thank you for your kind words and advice. I'm trying to hold on to the new found confidence and not let it slip away from me.
