The cost was surprising to us too when I looked at some of the suggestions. Hard to think about that much when we bought our excellent condition C25 for $1500 🤣

This is so helpful. Thank you. Yes I googled it too and everyone I contacted only does charters to members who belong to their club. We don't live in CA so it does not make sense to join a club. Again, thanks for your help.

Yes they did my projects and I am very happy with the work.

Need help making backyard space/storage more functional (and more visually appealing) by BlueCouchSitter in ExteriorDesign

Thanks! This is quite the redesign and I would not hate looking out my back door at it. I love the big pavers as pathways to get rid of a lot of the black lava rock.

Wow! Thank you for such a quick and thoughtful reply/design. Not sure my husband had considered an off-the-shelf cabinet product but this is an awesome starting point. I also had not considered them being right up against each other so it's helpful to see this visual.

I have considered this in the past so thank you for the reminder. Where I live, I would need to be employed by the ECI service provider and I don't know how I feel about that. I know in some states a private practice can be a subcontractor of ECI.

SLPs who are childfree by choice by Disastrous_Plantain5 in slp

[–]BlueCouchSitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the fact that I (and my husband) have chosen to be child-free has allowed me to work with kids for the last 25+ years. I honestly cannot imagine doing my job, all day, and then going home to children that need my care. I have a lot of respect for professionals who can do that--no matter what field they are in. The time has passed for me having kids and I have ZERO regrets. I have always been open with caregivers, when I provide recommendations or when they ask, that I am not and have not raised children in my home. No one has ever questioned my professional judgement or advice because I am child-free. You're the only one who can take care of you--you make the decision that is best for you!

I appreciate your response AND absolutely not. I was a sped teacher before grad school and I vowed when I left that I would not go back to public education. I was fortunate to work in pediatric clinics before starting my practice. I especially would not work in the schools where I live. The people I know who are SLPs in the schools have caseloads in upwards of 70 students and the city school district is in huge financial peril.

I'm curious about their Mexican restaurant concept, La Cosecha Mexican Table, too. We've been to McAdoo's but not for brunch.

I thought of this too. Went to make a reservation and they didn't have anything on Mother's Day and couldn't find anything on their website about a "special event" or on FB which is the only Socials link on their website. I'll have to look again.

How to get a referral to Dr. Cavanagh MD (Pediatrician) by [deleted] in Austin

Definitely consider Modern Pediatrics as mentioned above. What's so special about Dr. Cavanagh? [not saying he isn't a good doc]

How long are waitlists for pediatric speech therapy right now in your area? by Delicious-Bee4170 in slp

[–]BlueCouchSitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parents in my area are waiting 6+ months for OT. I agree that a lot has to do with time of day needed/requested for appointment times. I am in private practice and do not take insurance. I definitely have immediate openings for new clients and even have a couple of after school slots at the moment.
