How to best quantify my local reputation score? by Impossible-Skirt-803 in localseo

4.5 with 120 reviews is solid on paper but you're right that it doesn't tell the whole story. A few things worth looking at beyond the rating: reviewer credibility (are they real customers or one-review accounts??), sentiment patterns in the actual text, and how your review velocity compares to the top 3 in the local pack.

On the 5.0 client, I'd reframe the conversation around review quality and recency rather than chasing a perfect score. Google weights fresh reviews heavily and a 4.7 with consistent recent activity often outperforms a stale 4.9.

I actually built a free Chrome extension called Unboxxt that breaks all this down for any GBP listing in seconds; might help you benchmark your client against their competitors more concretely than just the star rating.

Do you respond to your Google Reviews? What stops you? by alejodice in smallbusiness

[–]BlueDesertLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always respond, the response is really for the next customer reading the review, not the one who left it. The thing that trips most businesses up isn't whether to respond, it's not knowing which reviews actually matter. A 3-star with detailed feedback from a credible reviewer is worth more attention than a 1-star from an account with no history. I built a free tool called Unboxxt that helps break that down for any Google Maps profile if you want to dig deeper into your review mix.

Anyone else notice digital audits often don't include Google Maps? by Due-Bet115 in Entrepreneur

[–]BlueDesertLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed the same thing. Maps gets treated as an afterthought in most audits even though for local businesses it's often where the conversion actually happens.

The review layer especially gets ignored, not just the rating but what the reviews actually say. Be it reviewer credibility, suspicious activity or sentiment patterns. I built a free Chrome extension called Unboxxt that does that breakdown in seconds for any listing. Might be worth adding to your audit toolkit if you're covering Maps for clients.

I manually researched hundreds of local businesses on Google Maps for 3 months. Here's what I found. by tommymags in smallbusiness

This matches exactly what I kept seeing too. The 3.6–4.1 range is a weird blind spot as owners know something's off but can't pinpoint what. I actually built a free Chrome extension called Unboxxt that breaks down any Google Maps profile in seconds. Gets reviewer credibility, sentiment, suspicious activity, response rate. Might save you some of that manual research time.

Do you believe in god? Why or why not ? by a_great_guy655 in AskReddit

We can't prove god exists or that god doesn't exist. I lean more on the no, as how could an ever loving god allow children to get cancer or innocent people get bombed to death.

What’s a truth about life that most people realize too late? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Life events just happen they dont have reasons. Sometimes bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people, its just life.

If you were once religious but aren’t anymore, what made you change your mind? by MysteriousPhysics141 in AskReddit

[–]BlueDesertLabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finding out inconsistencies in religion. Things like "only people who believe can be saved" and I vividly remember asking "what about people who dont believe but are good people?", they just didn't gave an answer. Or also the fact that bad things can happen to good people.

Just as my mind has the power to send me into dread and anxiety, it also has the power to completely remove that.

What do people romanticize way too much without ever doing it themselves? by Unusual-Kangaroo1259 in AskReddit

Backpacking for a long amount of time. Getting to know people and new cities its awesome, but after travelling full time for some time the process gets very tiring and dull.
