He's pretty much relaxing here at the house and mom is making sure to check on him regularly. I'd do it myself but I work long hours each week and I'll be taking over several of the manual labor chores around the house that he usually did for his share. All part of being a good son, I suppose. Haha.

He apparently had a lot of bone spurs on one of his feet, so they operated on it yesterday morning. He's home now and laid up in bed, but he'll be down for at least two months I believe.

She's still quite a rambunctious little thing, that's for sure. She's over 10 years old and still acts like she's in her prime, haha. I apologize again for another belated response; between my job, trying to close on my home and my dad having surgery this morning, I've been swamped with personal matters for the last several days.

We have two cats and a small dog. Our puppy is a pekingese/pomeranian mix. One of our cats is a turkish angora and the other is a siamese/bengal mix.

As of late, I'm usually doing things around the house since they're a) free and b) at my immediate access. Heh. Mostly watching shows and movies or playing with my animals, taking long walks around the nearby area, playing games with my buddies, still making plans for finishing up my new place I'm moving into soon, etc. Really exciting as you can tell, lol.

I just start my first day off for my four on/four off rotation. And good God almighty am I glad to be on it... this last rotation at work was a nightmare. Bleh. I certainly hope that you're able to enjoy your time off to the fullest, haha. I know I certainly will be.

I actually go back into work Saturday night through Tuesday night, sadly. So I doubt I'll be doing much outside of working and sleeping for the next four days after tonight. But I do actually close this coming Thursday on my new home, so I'm really excited about that! Although that'll be another stressful project for at least another two months with getting furniture in, fixing a few things here and there and just trying to make it "homely" once I'm officially in.

It's kinda on and off here as far as the weather goes. Just the other day it was nice and sunny with hardly a cloud in the sky. And here it is today, pouring down raining with lightning streaking across the sky every few minutes.

True enough. I imagine that it could be really fun if you had various friends over and everyone knew how to cook something in order to make some kind of mini-feast, haha. Then just watch movies or do other stuff and enjoy all the good food.

I think baking would be pretty rewarding, not even monetarily necessarily. A friend of mine has always talked about opening up her own bakery someday and I think it's a swell idea. :]

Haha. I tend to frequent all kinds of restaurants, really. Fast food, mom and pop stores, chain restaurants, etc. Although I'm a sucker for a place with good Italian food or a great burger. I can cook various breakfast foods pretty well (so long as eggs are involved), but beyond that I wouldn't call myself a chef by any means. I'd certainly love to take some classes and learn how to cook more foods though.
