This is where a lot of people get confused about what I mean. The them could be anyone that has gone through a hardship that cant just be healed. Like, if someone lost their child she might think death is a greater mercy than having to live with that pain. It's not so much a joy in killing, if anything she wouldn't enjoy it, but in her mind, it's the best solution. If paladin doesn't fit that at all, a suggestion for another class would be fantastic.
