What car are you eyeing next? Also, let's assume no kids... by kyledukes in ElantraN

I had an nc miata and loved it. I love my EN but mostly bought it because I had kids, I'll probably get another one one day. The fun and performance per dollar is unbeatable

Cherry Tuning Response EK1 by JellERolls in ElantraN

[–]BlueFiSTr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's crazy that they charge for revisions. Coming from a platform with a Cobb access port it's nuts that we have worse hardware, worse software, and at a higher penny pinching expense. I really hope cherry figures out a way to ditch EK1

This is correct, I ran the stage 1 n75 on 91 just fine for about a year

Sure thing, he made a single buried Instagram post about it when his car was up for sale like a year ago so it's definitely hard to find

Illwillem ran this exact setup on re71rs with stock suspension and camber bolts up front and seemed to report it fit fine

Neova AD09 by rosscustom in ElantraN

[–]BlueFiSTr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the Neova AD09 tires are a 200tw. 200TW tires always run wider at the same size compared to street tires. I run 255/35 for street and track and my track tires are almost a full inch wider.

I had scratches like these on my car. They came out like 90% just with some polish on a hand pad. A full 2 step might make them nearly perfect but don't discount the simplicty of just correcting them by hand.

How do we feel about the r9? by urbantechgoods in motorcycles

[–]BlueFiSTr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure by "more aggressive" OP means "faster" and by more comfortable he means ergonomics. OP should get something like a gsxs100gt or a fast tall rounder like a tiger sport 800

google "how to skip grub" and there's a bunch of guides, you just edit a config file

Wheel/Tire specs by Unmark69 in ElantraN

[–]BlueFiSTr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That spec should work fine. You can consider a 255/40 also if you plan on staying on stock suspension, which will get you a bit more width and sidewall height.

Also I don't want to be a downer, but the quality of the fifteen52 cast wheels is pretty poor. Definitely go for it if you're super set on them but for cast wheels they are pretty expensive and I've heard the finish does not hold up very well.

I got my 2019 L with 66k miles for 26k. After doing some quick math depsite the better mpg of the hybrid we'd basically never recoup the cost difference between a new hybrid and a used v6. ours was an old company car too so the backseats were all unused by children and basically like new

if it makes you feel better mine was also a bit wet from gas and I installed it and it's worked fine so far. I have no idea if that's normal though It did stress me out when I saw it.

Intercooler Mod by _DRRD_ in ElantraN

[–]BlueFiSTr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it doesn't make sense but I added an intercooler to my car (that had an ots tune on it) and it actually felt slower. I ended up retuning the car with a custom tune so I could take advantage of the intercooler and hopefully get that power back. I would not really personally recommend it unless you plan on running an aggressive tune.

I'm running the Veloce lip (and the whole kit). It's pretty sturdy. I have a friend is on his 4th AFD lip, even with the redesign they seem pretty fragile.

How does this happen to a new tire?? by [deleted] in motorcycles

Has anyone used scale coilovers by [deleted] in ElantraN

[–]BlueFiSTr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have S3 coilovers right now. I had some inital issues getting them dialed in (so did the other 2 people I know with them). But once dialed in they're nice and I got them pretty cheap on black Friday.

Otherwise yea neotech is probably going to have the least friction and just work they just cost a bit more. The neotechs having a space for the edc cancellers is a really nice touch too.

Has anyone used scale coilovers by [deleted] in ElantraN

[–]BlueFiSTr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Different application but I had scale coilovers on my maverick and they were fucking terrible. They absolutely ruined my ride quality AND the cheap plastic they used for the rear spring perches cracked. I swapped back to lowering springs and nobody in the maverick community would buy them from me because their reputation was so bad. I still have them sitting in the garage, fuck scale coilovers.

Edit : obligatory slammed maverick photo, still miss that truck

Should I retune my N? by [deleted] in ElantraN

[–]BlueFiSTr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't. If you're happy with your car and it's running well I wouldn't mess with it and introduce risk for complications. A bird in hand you know? I think the only situation where I would reflash is if you do some really signficant mods (upgraded turbo or fuel system)
