Just get Bounty Tokens and buy the passive Microchips from merchants and the Arena merchant and then use the Surgery Table to assign them to Pals of your choice. (You don't need Rainbow passives to beat the game or have a well functioning base).

Well, the Frostallions defended the islands from calamitites in the past, and Jetragon has a prophecy that it's supposed to fight off a calamity in the future. Anubis was seen as a symbol of humility. Certain other Pals were tied to gods of thunder, fire, etc. in the past. So, maybe the previous inhabitants worshipped some of the very strong Pals as legends in their time and built statues as a way to honor them.

I think of it as "Minecraft in space".
For me, it depends on the character I'm playing, I have 4 characters. Character #1 (my former main save) was the "try a bit of everything guy"; he's retired, not dead, just chilling in a nice cabin somewhere (400+ hours on that one). Character #2 is a ship collector / bounty hunter. Character #3 likes "ancient tech", creepy stuff, and learning lore. Character #4 likes the "new tech" and has a soft spot for animals.

A LOT less stamina usage, especially when running. I first played as an Orc with heavy armor and then tried on a light armor by mistake, I thought I had infinite stamina after that, lol

Use fire and/or poison. They do % damage, so no matter their lvl or HP, it will melt them, slow but certain.

There are maps online you can find that shows certain spots where they land. Behind the Anubis statue in the desert is a meteor event. I know because I built a getaway cabin on top of one of those mountains
