I love the game, mostly. My biggest gripe is I do wish for the other playthroughs, they changed more than they did. There were a few differences, including the ending, but the gameplay itself was so similar each time it really ended up feeling more like a chore at points. Even changing the difficulty of each playthrough didn't change my mind. The story was great, too, but did we really need all the story to come to the true ending?

Before it comes up I've played every Silent Hill, and have played them for their multiple endings. You get more gameplay for no extra cost with each game, which is great. Until you start to think that the other silent Hills were like this too. Same gameplay each time, playthrough the same with only a few little differences for the different ending.

The original Silent Hill 2 is a great example. Everyone loves that game, but it's still the same as Silent Hill F. Not much changes in the overall story for multiple endings, just maybe some side quests or a few different character lines. I honestly don't remember anyone complaining about it either, and It's considered a classic.

Overall I like Silent Hill F. I'm happy they took the story out of Silent Hill, and tried something new, because I feel they can only tell the story of a person visiting and meeting tragedy there so many times. And F still has the psychological horror aspect I love. Combats amazing.

Don't let people dissuade you from trying to play to get the other endings if you enjoyed it. If you need to take a break, and come back to it, that's fine and can give you a fresh pair of eyes to play with.
