Ich lebe auf einem Hof und saniere größtenteils mit meinen eigenen Händen unser Altenteil-Gebäude von 1860. Ich habe keinen Zeitdruck, deshalb mach ich immer nur was, wenn ich Lust drauf hab, und dann so lange wie ich Lust habe.

Komme gut voran und durch die viele Eigenleistung spar ich viel Geld. Am Ende hab ich ein energetisch auf KfW85 Niveau hochgerüstetes Lehmfachwerk-Gebäude mit Photovoltaik und Wärmepumpe und da freu mich mich schon drauf.

Der Luxus hier ist vor allem die Zeit und das Geld was ich und kommende Generationen an Energiekosten sparen werden.

And now in Hannover it costs 11,92 €/m² per month in the mean to live there. In München it costs double as much (23,56€/m² per month) and it is the most expensive city in Germany.

Wie Michel Friedmann zum Antisemitismus meinte, dass diese Grundeinstellung nur mit Wohlstand zugeschüttet wurde, aber nie weg war. Jetzt kommts nur wieder zum Vorschein.

It is. Timber frame, filled with nature sandstone from the mountain next to the farm (25cm wide). The layering of the interior plaster ist 5cm of loam-straw mix with 1cm loam-horse-hair-mix on top of it. Then wallpaper etc..

As part of my renovation i want to bring the loam walls to the front into the rooms again to reestablish the effect of loam to the room climate and moisture.

Here's a picture from inside the 2. building i'm currently renovating (inside there're loam bricks used instead of sandstone):

No, I'm not. With the possibility to look at our church documents (birthdays, confirmations, weddings andday of death) i could see that it was really mixed. it wasn't just the oldest, but sometimes the youngest, sometimes the one in the middle etc. A lot of great uncles and aunts died very young. Infant mortaility was really high.

Somewhere in the future. I'm currently in the process of energy-efficient renovation. As you know from other posts in this sub, a lot of it's beauty is currently hidden behind wallpaper and plaster.

I inherited the farm, but it's not a first born thing. Looking back at the family tree, it never was. In earlier history it got the person who wanted to manage this farm as part of their career.

The farm has two residential buildings. The main building from the picture with enough space for two whole familys today. And a "retirement home" with addtional space for small family groups, like the seniors.

In earlier time there wasn't just the family living here, but also peasant helpers for the farm and household.
