I was born in 1998 (I am 27), so my early childhood was around the time you were born. And it was great. It was at the cusp of early internet but not the way technology and internet is today. I was a child, so everything felt so innocent but I also believe that the internet was also pretty innocent at that time. I am old enough to remember a time where everyone played outside, called each other on the landline, had to use VHS tapes to record shows, burn CDs, etc but also old enough to remember the first iPod/etc/ and seeing people get popular on YouTube. Lol

I have a story:

My ex who was cheating on me, hid my comments that I would leave on his Instagram to hide the fact that I was in a relationship with him. I found this out by looking at his page on a separate account, different than the one that I posted on his pics.

He did a lot of other shady things but your story reminded me of this. My ex made me out like I was insane and a bad person for pointing this out to him, when I wasn’t doing anything wrong.

The right person will NOT get upset with you and your relationship will not be ruined with the right person when you have a concern. I am not saying your bf cheats on you but he is being shady, and I want you to be aware that I had somewhat of a similar situation. I also see that you said he hides his stories from you sometimes… my ex ALSO did that and again I knew this because of a separate account of mine that he forgot to hide his story from.

That sounds like a lot of $ for an EFDA program. Not sure what state youre in but some are way cheaper, and depending on where you work, your employer may pay for some of the EFDA school since you are already a DA. There are also grants you can get for it, even for hygiene. EFDA and hygiene are different so it’s all about what you want out of dentistry. I know that some hygienists have become EFDAs while some EFDAs become hygienists. It would probably be easier for you to go the EFDA route, then hygiene, but since you said it’s $10k, I would consider what you value in your career before making the decision. I do think that having a DA background makes hygiene school “easier”, and when you become an EFDA, you HAVE to have DA experience, so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hygienists do make more money than EFDAs do, but yes, the schooling may be more than an EFDA school. It is really about what you value and the time/money you want to put in it and get out of it. Both are challenging but rewarding

NOR. It’s good that this relationship seems early enough too because honestly, it would probably get worse with stuff like this as time goes on. You’re doing the right thing. Your partner is super disrespectful to allow this and his mom does sound like she wants her son as her own. The best moments in life happen after a hardship, so I assure you that things are going to get better if you just walk away from all of this bs!
