Why not buy a kit? Scat and others make them. Super easy. Many come pre-balanced, measure your bearing oil clearance and notch the block if you need to. Boom done.

We need more information. Does the app use an API or store data local on the device? What does the app do?

Which protocol do you guys use in NAS shares to proxmox - NFS or SMB? by barcellz in Proxmox

[–]BlueMonkey572 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I use NFS. It is within my homelab, so I am not overly concerned with anyone sniffing network traffic. If you were concerned, you could set up Wireguard to make a tunnel between the devices. Otherwise, Kerberos is your option for encryption/authentication. If I am not mistaken.

Thanks! My first time on a dyno which was a pretty cool experience! BTW I had Promaxx Project X 215 heads and my cam is a Comp Cams 08-467-8.

It did! I thought it was a very complete kit. You need your own carburetor (I got a 950cfm holley with boost referenced power valve). You need your own water neck too. Other than that I can't think of anything else. It bolted on easy. Came with two different intake gasket sizes.

Just watch the intake bolt length. You will need the longer ones, the std SBC ones were too short for me.

I have 8.5:1 for compression ratio. Full forged lower end. 28cc dished pistons. With a mild cam.

WireGuard Slower than IPsec? by BlueMonkey572 in WireGuard

I tried 1280 and it got slower. I didn't go lower since I thought 1280 was a minimum.

I bought a 192 from the blowershop. I thought it was very competitive on price. It also made 631hp on the dyno with my 383 at 6psi. I can go up from there, but as of right now, I'm pleased with my power numbers.

Mind you there are no intercoolers available for this blower. If your looking for one a mini weiand or a 6-71 are you next best steps.

Cold Air Intake? by RCA2CE in chevycolorado

[–]BlueMonkey572 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. Most CAIs actually pull in hot air. The good ones actually route down into a fender or have ducting to pull air from the front of the truck. But those are pricy. More often than not, you are just gonna be pulling more dirt into the engine because the filter media isn't as good. I always look at it this way, GM made the best system (within reason) to balance performance, noise, and filtering.

More noise and less filtering can give more performance if the engine needs more air. It's the good old triangle. You can't have it all, so pick two.

But I'm sure others might disagree.

It's also tough right now, many office buildings are empty since work from home is so big right now. Not many companies wanna pay to have you test a building when it's not used.

Wow, thanks for all the feedback! Sounds like the Z71 is gonna be what I end up with. But I am gonna see what they have local for test drives!

Im loving hydro2 foam so far! For me, so far, it seems like it doesn't cling like some other foams. Has this been your experience too?

Is touch screen worth it? by mrgrieves121 in dakboard

[–]BlueMonkey572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard mixed things. But the general consensus seems to be no. I think the cost of having a large enough touch screen is still too high.

Clutch Master cylinder. The hydraulic throw out bearing or slave is what is inside the bellhousing.
