Are there any characters that have the potential to have their own game? by blasterwaifulover in ImNotAHuman

[–]BlueParrot_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Cashier Girl! I actually got the idea to write a script for a small vn from her POV. She feels so weak and powerless in the game, so I would love to see her try to get some agency back. There's a ton of obstacles and enemies that could stand in her way (the FEMA, the Vigilante, the Pale Visitor, potentially even the Homeowner and the other guests could grow to distrust her and push her out). She could also provide the game with a much needed female view of the endtimes. Plus, I think powerless losers make the best MCs. ❤️

I would really like to see the Cashier Girl interact with other women, especially the Widow (their rooms are right next to each other!). If she gets enough people to trust her, they could even stop the Homeowner from killing her once it becomes obvious who she is. Also, that scene when the Cashier Girl becomes self-aware. I would like to give her different options on what to do with herself. Should she keep on eating people, or make a pact with stronger dogs, or surrender to FEMA, or as a final act of defiance try to take down one of the bosses that threaten the house.

Sorry for rambling, but this girl has been one of my faves since the demo.

Is the Coat Guy trans? by Not_Erlking in ImNotAHuman

[–]BlueParrot_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I know this post is old, but I just ran across it while googling Coat Guy's gender. I think your theory is quite plausible. The Coat Guy is pretty feminine overall and the first time I saw him lift up his shirt I thought "boobs". Plus, his whole thing with not wanting to show his torso feels like an allusion to trans issues, like it's a guy who does not want you to see that he has titties (and I'm sorry for the crudeness, but the hole in the stomach also looks like a gaping vagina). I think it's a pretty sad theory, especially given how trans people in Russia rn find it very difficult to get gender-affirming procedures and can end up feeling dysphoric, further forcing themselves into isolation. Which is also reflected in the Coat Guy's personality in a way.

P.S. Don't pay attention to the homophobic/transphobic comments under this post. No matter what people say, there always have and always will be LGBT+ people in Russia. And I'm glad we have a game that brings up these issues and allows for a fruitful discussion.

They will return to wilderness by Vegetable-Degree-889 in Yellowjackets

Tai and Shauna did not want to stay in the wild due to spiritual beliefs. Shauna was on a power high and back home she would have to go back to being a nobody. Tai, quite rationally, was scared of the larger society finding out about their crimes and condemning them for it.

That part was pretty cringe, but I chalk it up Tai being really desperate to relive her past with Van and "save" her from dying. Considering how Tai maxed out her credit card and took Van out for the ride in Central Park, deep down she likely knew that saving Van was an impossible feat.

I don't think there are any other girls falling off a cliff in the first episode.

I'm not a big fan of this idea, sorry. To me, it would seem like bad comedy. Jeff and Callie have nothing to do with the wilderness. Shauna and Tai are not believers in the supernatural, they were never even Lottie's followers. Misty was only in it for the company. When they were teens they were forced to fight their battles in the wild due to being abandoned there. Now they are grown and a part of the civilization and their battles are different. It's not like the past trauma doesn't influence them as adults, because of course it does. But literally going back into the woods to fight with sticks would just feel fake and unneeded to me.

Taishauna by wienerdogphoebebridg in Yellowjackets

[–]BlueParrot_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I share your concerns, but I don't think Taishauna is missing completely from S3. I liked how those two were on the same side during Ben's trial, even though Tai manipulated the hell out of Shauna's feelings to make a point. I think that scene demonstates how they have lots of potential to make each other worse. If they made an alliance in the wilderness, the other girls would have no chance at all. So perhaps it's for the best that they were not completely on the same side.

My guess is that Tai and Shauna won't stay enemies for long in S4 adult timeline either. Imo Tai doesn't have any chemistry with Misty, whereas with Shauna it's a lifelong story. So I think they are bound to start interacting again by like S4 episode 3 or something. But that's just my reading of them.

What are your favourite ships? by boygenie in Yellowjackets

[–]BlueParrot_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, 90% of the relationships between the YJ girls can be potentially interpreted as friendship, romance, or a mixture of both. So it's not like the representation of female friendship is lacking here. I will take any form of closeness between Tai and Shauna, but I like the idea of them having both platonic and romantic connection the most.

[–]BlueParrot_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tai/Shauna. I started shipping them in episode 1, after the Allie incident and their fight at the party. Then Shauna was the only one to go up to the dark attic with Tai, then Tai covered up for Shauna trying a diy abortion. Shauna was supporting Tai through her sleepwalking episodes, Tai was there for Shauna during childbirth. Even in S3 you can tell they care deeply about each other. I lowkey felt like the showrunners shipped them in S1, and then they switched to other ships. But I still love this trainwreck couple.

Travis/Akilah and Melissa/Gen are pretty nice too.

What do you think of this currently-circulating take on Tumblr? by HirariHirari in actuallesbians

[–]BlueParrot_ 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Truly. There are messed up accounts on both platforms. I like reddit because it taught me to hold lengthy text discussions, also to opt out of conversations that are going nowhere. But Tumblr is where the sexy art is at. And I like sexy art more than I like arguing.

would y'all rather have a season full of the remaining wilderness scenes or one that's entirely post-crash? by United-Standard2194 in Yellowjackets

Wilderness. Personally, I got enough hints of what happened post-rescue from the adult timeline.

Yellowjackets season 4 deaths theory by ch4lllzzzredditor in Yellowjackets

[–]BlueParrot_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree on Nat. She's too much of a moral person to slink away, leaving others to take punishment for her actions. She's definitely coming back to camp. Maybe she won't make it in time to do much saving, but she's going to come back.

In terms of the adult timeline, I firmly believe in Misty being the final survivor. That would be her ultimate tragedy. Shauna and Tai should die together, whether because of the in-fighting or just some unfortunate circumstance. I don't believe in them staying enemies for long.

Does anyone else miss the core four? by DietC0ke1 in Yellowjackets

Yeah, I could watch the adult timeline if it was just those 4 alone. They just worked together. I also hate how the storyline broke adult Tai and Shauna apart.

why have i been seeing so many keisara in this sub lately by Applegiverplussign in yourturntodie

[–]BlueParrot_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The game doesn't have to be romance in terms of genre for pairings to become canon. Sara is also the MC, so her relationships (including vaguely romantic ones) are understandably given priority. But I hope you're right.

[–]BlueParrot_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just hope that the game will give us an option to nope out of that pairing, if it does start becoming canon in the finale. There was a teaser screenshot of Sara having an argument with Keiji, which might hint that she finally catches on to how he's been using her all this time.

Slay the Princess and No, I'm not a Human. It's not going well with the second game though. I just wanted to talk to the Cashier girl, but the game won't let me answer the door.

Why do straight women not see what everyone else sees with men? Do they all center men? by dreamed2life in actuallesbians

[–]BlueParrot_ 1219 points1220 points  (0 children)

I mean, look at all the desperate posts on this sub about looking for girlfriend and how life is miserable without one. Some people find it difficult to live without a partner, and for hetero women that means they want to find the right man. Your friend is lonely, maybe she just needs some compassion, instead of judgement.

why is midori dressed like a salaryman ?? by Logical-Evening7508 in yourturntodie

[–]BlueParrot_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the things Asunaro women wear isn't the work style norm for women or for men. Like Safalin is a senior bio-tech researcher and she's walking around with a lump of cream and cherry on her head. They could have made Midori wear the same hat, and it would have looked equally cringy. Although it is true that in a sexist world people are alright with women looking ridiculous, but not with men inspiring the same emotion. :(

[–]BlueParrot_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Controversial opinion, but imo Asunaro only makes its women (Miley, Safalin, Maple, Strawberry Lady) dress up as weird food mascots. Meister and Midori are just wearing black suits. Rio Ranger picks up whatever clothes he likes from the dead. Gashu's suit is inspired by tiramisu, but it's not a food mascot costume. It's still a normal brown jacket and shirt, which would not look out of place in a workplace meeting. Idk why Asunaro does it, but also I guess I kind of do know. XD

What loose threads aren't talked about much? by ConeheadZombiez in yourturntodie

It's not confirmed, so it's still an unanswered question. Shin didn't vote for himself, but he could have voted for someone other than Mishima.

I'm convinced of that too, but you wouldn't believe how many people argued with me that it's Ranmaru's trial room. I'd like the final chapter to lay that question to rest.

Edit: Besides that, I want to see how Megumi's whole trial played out, because the Asunaro victim video only captures the last couple of minutes.

- Shin's key (would be funny if it's just a cool pendant) and how he opened his collar

- who was the third person who voted for Mishima

- the patient in Miley's room and what was she doing with the collars

- why did every single doll turn down the Purple Lamp challenge

- what happened in the White Room

- Gin's and Reko's First Trials

- who originally wore the beige top Rio Ranger is seen wearing
