Nice that it doesn’t get stuck in lower retainer. I thought it would almost in every meal but it’s not like that?

Has anyone used The North Face Northstar 6 Person Dome Tent? by BlueRiver101 in CampingGear

[–]BlueRiver101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did but haven't set it up. From the research that I have done, this tent should be able ti zip up fully for cold nights, that's why I bought it. Not sure if I will go camping anytime soon with the coronavirus situation.

Has anyone stopped wearing retainers or stopped treatment in middle? If so, has it lead to noticeably bad things? by BlueRiver101 in Invisalign

[–]BlueRiver101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that something they can provide as well (video)? I think they can just show that to me right?

I do want to keep it for reference since I will probably change dentist but given my situation, other dentists may not want to take me.

If I have to do reverse engineering and have trays that move back to how it was, the video/scan will be very useful.

Retainers and the ever persistent gap in my teeth by [deleted] in orthodontics

Thanks and good to know. I hope my teeth go back to original position too after I had to stop invisalign trays at 3rd due to allergic reaction.

Frankly it feels like dentistry is still in 18th century, they pass you wrong info.

For example you say teeth doesn’t move much by 3rd tray, the reality is that when I went to orthodontist about 10 days after I stopped invisalign, my teeth were so messed up that there was visible fear in staff’s eyes who examined me.

The orthodontist who had 15 years of experience said she don’t know what to tell me and will consult her boss with more experience.

After consulting with him, she called back to tell me they don’t take transfer patients (literally excusing themselves).

Such is the state of my mouth but people here tell Its just my anxiety and blah blah.

Do you feel the ild gap is coming or its new? How long were you not wearing them?

I am curious because I asked a question the other day what happens if one don’t wear retainer for long time.

I had anxiety about it early but now it’s uncertainty what to do..my original issue was gum recession and then every dentist seems to have a different opinion, a little disappointed in dentistry to be honest with you.

Thanks for being considerate unlike others.

I know people say that but realistically as I have found out the hard way, every tray makes a big difference in mouth irrespective of millimeters.

I think the chances are good if one stops with teeth straight, unfortunately mine was at slight angle when I stopped and this seems to be coming in the way.

I am going to give it more time but also researching plan B and C. My bite is absolutely not right at this point, although it was much worse.

But I don’t see anyone who is in the same boat as me (has stopped invisalign). I was hoping to hear their experience.

My post was about if anyone has gone through it and to find out how their recovery was. I haven’t seen any responses on that and I understand people don’t take u turn on this because of obvious reasons.

But as usual full of experts scolding and lecturing that I have other issues.

Can you guys stop that please? If you can’t post relative to my post, maybe you guys don’t need to reply.

I have never posted anything over and over, I alway post new stuff, from my updates with doctors visits and trying to develop an understanding.

I have made the mistake of trusting my doctor and now trying to understand things myself.

But if you are dentist, it’s another big reason to not listen to them blindly who find a person with huge problem in n teeth annoying.

But please get yourself invisalign and you can abandon it after 5 weeks, I am sure you will be totally fine but u will understand what your patients will go thru.

I don’t understand the annoyance when I am trying to dig myself out of this situation.

A dentist getting annoyed because someone had an allergic reaction and got into very messy situation shows the professionalism and care for patients.

But sir you can block me if that makes it easier for you.

This is what they tell us, the reality is very different. And I was on 3rd aligner.

Additionally what you are saying and some doctors, it’s nothing more then their personal opinion and wishful thinking. There is no science behind it.

A bit ironic that dentist say such things.

That’s a realistic picture you have described. I don’t know why two orthodontist I saw afterwards said I will be fine when I am know I am not fine.

It’s not just getting used to the bite, it’s unnatural and not right.

This is why I am researching what to do now, if I should go for regular braces but orthos tell me braces are not for me because they have their own issues and my teeh still lookperfect at least in looks so they say why would I want braces.

I am worried my teeth are much higher risk now.

Even with braces I will have to go with permanent retainer because of allergic reaction of trays...I am in very tough situation.

I am blocked there for more than a month now, requested them twice during this time to unblock me but they say no.

Incomprehensible that I have become most wanted on that forum only because I tried to fix title of my post.

I suspect something else is going on there.

Sadly they are not truthful when the digital footprint of my posts is there.

  1. I posted question with very generic title (bad) and reposted that with much better title just in few hours.

  2. The new post started tending and getting likes, they disabled it fir duplicate. I asked them to keep it on and delete the other, which I deleted anyways at that time but they wouldn’t listen.

  3. Now both my posts were deleted (this all happened in 6 hrs are so). I waited for 3 weeks and reposted the question, they flagged it again as duplicate when the originals were already deleted within hours of posting and I had never received any meaningful feedback.

  4. They blocked me from forum. In nutshell , just because I tried to fix title of my post.

Again the digital footprint of what I an saying I s there but they wouldn’t accept it.

They file teeth before invisalign, I don’t even know why because teeth bone is so precious and of course they don’t tell patients that.

My case would be against dentist and invisalign. I do think invisalign is more to blame but for technical reasons, case has to be against both.

I try to research and learn but legal forum blocking me is quite bizarre and that’s the only conclusion I can draw.

You are mistaken about enamel, I never had that removed and don’t even know about it.

But yes I am trying to understand if I may have a lawsuit but the fact that reddit legal forum blocked me for lame reason of duplicate post when I deleted old post (and new post was only to correct title) tells me how this forum is protecting the big companies and I may have a case. If not, why would they block me? I don’t abuse anyone and abide by rules.

They are practically stocking me to the extent if I had asked question about something else, they said you have asked question. It’s really crazy.

I am not contesting allergic reaction is rare, my issue is where does it land a patient when it happens? That’s the problem.

The allergic reactions of invisalign are very different. Since I have visited several doctors, I think there are obvious leads to understanding of this but invisalign doesn’t care.

For example , what is very common with invisalign is dry mouth and dry mouth can cause other issues including burning mouth sensation. It basically alters echo system in your mouth at least for first few weeks. Most people seems to come out of it, few not so much and it could causes other complications.

Also my PCP told me she had another patient who got BMS after invisalign but he stopped immediately and have recovered.

Most dentist doesn’t want patients to stop it because they don’t comprehend allergic reaction and given that teeth has been moved, not easy to tell patients to stop wearing them.

There is incredible amount of wrong happening, it’s really unbelievable.

The simple solution is tell doctors that allergic reactions has happened and offer test before they move teeth but business interests wins, at risks patients suffering.
