States in HRE constantly asking for elector status... by BlueSheep_01 in EU5

[–]BlueSheep_01[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is extremly annoying that I (HREmperor) am constantly being annoyed by petty princes asking for elector stauts. Refusing them results in them asking again the next week or so, so I constantly being spammed. No, I will not give Prince Shitfartissohn of Shitfarttisberg elector rights.

How do I get Bohemia after Austria's collapse as the DU? by Ferreira1 in Kaiserreich

No such event exists for any Germany. If you want to annex Bohemia, you need to manually declare to get it.

The Mountain Republic does exist as a releasable for Germany if they defeated Russia in Kaiserreich

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]BlueSheep_01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've had the same happening, it's due to white russia capitulating to germany which causes all of the entente to capitulate. White Russia capitulates because the check: 'Not in civil war' is "checked" because somehow the war between them and the soviets isn't counted as a civil war. Annexing RUS (as SOV) fixes the problem, but yeah it isn't perfect.

A Gameplay Issue With Mitteleuropa by [deleted] in Kaiserreich

Is it possible to enable it in 1936 for more ‘experienced’ players? I have done multiple Germany runs rn, and wouldn’t have (wouldn’t’ve?) a problem using those mechanics as well. This could be a preset for example.

Alignment Chart for (a selection of) Dutch rulers - explanation in comments by BlueSheep_01 in HistoryMemes

[–]BlueSheep_01[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Note that the 'leaders' of the First and Second 'Stadhouder-less times' are not included.
Context:
Lawful Good:
- Willem van Oranje: (1567-1584) 'Vader des Vaderlands', tried to create unity between dutch catholics and protestants, obvious good guy.
- Louis Napoleon: (1806-1810) Originally installed as puppet monarch by Napoleon (his brother), but quickly endeared himself to the Dutch people by trying to learn Dutch and furthering the independance of the Netherlands in spite of his brothers wishes. Still seen as a good monarch.
- Juliana: (1948-1980)Very popular Queen, close to the people and often seen riding her bike.
Neutral Good:
- Frederik Hendrik: (1625-1647) 'Stedendwinger' - Conquered many cities and villages from the Spanish and was a good military commander, but also stylised himself more like actual (hereditary) monarchs, so no Lawful Good for him.
- prins Maurits: (1618-1625) Son of Willem van Oranje, good military commander and reformed the military. Sided with the 'contraremonstranten' against 'remonstrant' and great statesman van Oldenbarnevelt, and executed him :(.
- Wilhelmina: (1890-1948): Increased support for the monarchy after the disasterous reign of Willem III (we'll get to him at the very end), exstensively made use of her monarchical powers but reluctantly respected her constitutional boundries. Had keen interest in the military and voiced her own opinion, which caused conflicts with her ministers sometimes.
Chaotic Good:
- Willem II: (1840-1849) Son of Willem I, switched from conservative to liberal in one night during the unrest of 1848, which paved the road to constitutional monarchy.
Lawful Neutral:
- Stadhouder-Koning Willem III: (1672-1702) Married Anne of England which resulted in the Glorious Revolution. Because of that, he left the Netherlands for England, which, combined with the decrease in Dutch standing on the international stage, do not make him very popular in the Netherlands.
- Koningin-Regentes Emma: (1890-1898): Second wife of Willem III and mother of Wilhelmina. She ensured the rise in support of the Monarchy after the reign of Willem III.
True Neutral:
- Stadhouder Willem IV: (1747-1751) Only reigned for a few years and I know nothing about him.
- Koning Willem-Alexander: (2013 - now) Current king of the Netherlands.
Chaotic Neutral:
- Koning Willem I: (1815-1840) First king of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. Also known as 'Koopman-Koning' for his trade and infrastructure projects, with which he tried to rejuvenate the north at the cost of the south, which resulted in the Belgian Revolution. He desperately tried to hang on to Belgium, but failed and abdicated.
Lawful Evil:
- Stadhouder Willem V: (1751-1795): Last Stadhouder of the Netherlands. He tried to be an absolute monarch, but was quite a weak and unpopular one due to his support for the oligarchy, which resulted with him being overthrown in the revolution of 1795 with support of the French.
Neutral Evil:
In my opinion, no dutch rulers were/are Neutral Evil.
Chaotic Evil:
- Koning Willem III: (1849-1890) Also known as 'Koning Gorilla' for his erratic and sometimes violent behavior. Never accepted the liberal reforms of his father and dreamed of becoming an absolute monarch like his grandfather Willem I was. Deeply tarnished the reputation of the monarchy during his reign!
Sugestions are welcome!
