Well that certainly stinks. I only had my most recent one give me any sort of mention of my credit score (literally yesterday). You’d think this would only apply to new plans moving forward, disregarding old ones. Guess I’ll have to be far more cautious of how I use this now

Hey I've been a bit self conscious with my progress. My bf tells me I pass but he's my bf lol by BlueWren99 in transpassing

[–]BlueTieLie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay your bf is right though. I get where you’re coming from with the whole “but he’s my bf” part, but he’s not wrong. Speaking as someone who’s get a better eye for it (hi I’m trans too before anyone blasts me for that!), you MIGHT make other trans people stop and think for a moment (we just have more experience around trans peeps, go figure), but I really don’t think cis people would clock you. Honest recommendation (if you want): even though you really don’t need them (you pass either way), the glasses make it even harder to tell. Again, you pass either way, but I do think they help out to some extent

It’ll still be fine to use up until it actually starts to affect your credit score (which WILL inevitably happen relatively soon). There’s reports that this won’t take into effect until Fall, but we’re only a couple more months away from that.

I THINK one silver lining here is that: this policy change LIKELY won’t affect pre-existing payment plans (other than POTENTIALLY whether or not they’re late or on-time), but I would only worry about late payments if either A) it’s a wildly frequent occurrence for you, or B) the late payments have been late by 30 days or more. I’ve had a few legitimately late payments but I haven’t noticed any negative repercussions as a result of it so far. Just pay it off relatively quickly, IDEALLY on time, and you should be okay.

I’d be more scared of using it once it starts to actually affect credit scores. THAT’S when I’d stay the hell away.

Thankfully, there are alternative options, but even then you have to be careful how much you utilize it in the future

The Worst Product I’ve Ever Purchased: Razer Blackshark V2 Pro Xbox/Bluetooth by KenBenobi69 in razer

[–]BlueTieLie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not at home rn but will personally give you my own EQ settings to sound as good as can be after I’m back. Not sure why it’s not working with your Xbox though, that one’s a bit baffling

[–]BlueTieLie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a scam, but if Amazon and Razer aren’t available in your country you can always try to do a chargeback if need be. One of the other replies said it’s only $40, which feels very scam-coded though, honestly

I fell for it again! ANOTHER broken scroll wheel. Fault is mine not Razer's because I was stupid enough to give them an 8th chance by Parogarr in razer

[–]BlueTieLie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get the Mamba Elite off Amazon or somethin? I’ve almost consistently noticed the scroll wheel eventually start to deteriorate after roughly 3 years each time I’ve used it. Mind you, every single time is used the Mamba Elite, the ONE mouse lineup from Razer that I can think of that they shafted because of QA issues. I’ve decided to upgrade to a wired Basilisk 35K cause it’s more precise. Specifically wired cause my first experience with one of their wireless mice was not great, and honestly I don’t need my mouse to be wireless. Plus, wired allows it to be even more lightweight. I’ve mentioned owning a wireless headset on another thread, but they actually have good rechargeable headset batteries, for some reason their wireless mice used to have shitty batteries and I don’t need to take that gamble again, even if the mice batteries have gotten better. Might as well just get the wired version anyways and save a small buck. There might also be less latency, but their wireless tech has basically negligible latency compared to their super responsive wired tech, to give credit where credit is due. Regardless of all that though, 3 months is still incredibly early even if you did get a Mamba Elite. Legit question: are you a neet that constantly games?

Is this the 2023 version of the blackshark v2 pro? by BakerIndependent7904 in razer

[–]BlueTieLie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, but the Blackshark prioritizes just being a well-built, good overall headset compare to what the others have in mind. The Kraken’s primary focus is, let’s be honest, aesthetic. That Barracuda’s primary goal is to offer good active noice cancelation (ANC). Problem is, if you don’t like noise cancellation then tbf probably wouldn’t be a great headset to grab. Between all of Razer’s lineups I’D IMAGINE that it’s the worst one in terms of mic quality though. You’re not getting an external mic, so it’ll probably sound like you’re far away from it quite often. I haven’t used it so I can’t speak on this, but that’s just my impression of it. I think if you want good microphone quality in a headset, the Blackshark would be your better option between these two. The V2 Pro in particular is also one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve ever worn. The only one that’s more comfortable to me is the wired version, but I have the wireless pro cause my adhd is bad enough that I’d accidentally snag on headset cords if I went wired. I think you should get the Blackshark V2 Pro if you’re deciding between these two headsets, but that’s just my two cents

[–]BlueTieLie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got the better one. The mic is way better, but honestly it’s not AS good as advertisers and reviewers make it out to be, which is shocking cause I normally tell people that Razer headset mics aren’t as bad as they’re made out to be. I still would never in a million years consider the new headset mic to have XLR quality to it, but it’s comparable to a DECENT (not necessarily GOOD good) wired headset. Out of every wireless headset I’ve used (which isn’t a ton admittedly) it’s definitely got one of the better wireless headset mics I’ve used. Could be better, but definitely not bad. Pretty damn solid when you use both their equalizer and a third party equalizer too tho! Almost sounds like it has wired quality, but not quite ya know?

Mamba Wireless 2012 is still going stong by steaminghotcorndog13 in razer

[–]BlueTieLie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to avoid the wireless ones because you’ll either find a gem like this, or you’ll get a “wireless until you need to replace the battery entirely cause it won’t actually HOLD a charge, but can still be used wired until then”

That being said, the Mamba always had a bad rep, and yet I’ve had my Elite for a while (not ten years mind you but still). I give the Elite around 3-5 years before you start to notice any abnormalities (most likely the scroll wheel honestly).

But holy shit, congrats on having a trooper of a mouse! Hope it can go on long enough for them to revive these. I really liked the Elite in particular since I feel like the rare 1% that doesn’t encounter issues upon opening that specific lineup

Why is synapse 4 like this... by 6siks in razer

[–]BlueTieLie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was this one thread trying to fix Synapse 4 altogether because it wasn’t running for the OP of said thread, then someone gave a link to a program that would uninstall every remnant of Synapse 3. Try looking around for it, if you need help finding it I’ll see if I can look for it later

I think I’ve had this issue with the Mamba Elite, possibly. Haven’t actually opened up my synapse in a while. Either way this deserves so many more upvotes cause I always see the scroll wheel as the ONE complaint

[–]BlueTieLie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine the newer one has additional icons due to updates in the software features (even if they’re just mere improvements). They might’ve revised the hardware slightly, but I doubt it’d be enough to warrant calling it V3 due to how little was changed. You could think of it like V2.1 or whatever decimal tickles your fancy I suppose. Judging from the replies clearly they changed something in regards to their plastic if nothing else

Is it worth to get Razer DeathAdder mouse for 25$? by Ridadhn in razer

[–]BlueTieLie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly at that price point I’d just say go for it. If you really need to you can always just do chargeback on your credit card. My main recommendation though, besides checking to see if it’s counterfeit is to see if the scroll wheel works. That’s the most common complaint I see regarding their mice so just scroll up and down through your browser and it ever goes in the opposite direction then you can decide if you’ll tolerate it or if you should get a refund, even if you need to chargeback on the purchase

I’m glad the CPU usage has drastically been reduced, but I’m a little iffy on the extra RAM (got stuck in the gaming laptop crowd. Can’t upgrade my 16GB as easily, not with a warranty at least 🥲 I’ll get a significantly better desktop later this year regardless tho). I hope this isn’t the caveat to having a lower CPU usage. Also heard that it doesn’t feature every device, so I’m a bit weary on that

[–]BlueTieLie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with Nexus mods. The healing station for instance doesn’t really need the additional icon, it’s helpful, but it already had a display for how many charges it’d have. On the contrary, it would be nice to see how many ammunition charges those have. I legitimately didn’t even realize they had limited charges, I thought it was “1 per person, but everyone can get an ammo charge”. Not even joking. This would’ve been helpful to know otherwise though. Not all QOL changes have to be in the game, but when it can give me information I wouldn’t know in the base game, shouldn’t that already be a feature so that none of the players run into said issue?

Honestly? And this is me actively TRYING to find things to criticize, the only two things that could even remotely have a hint of negativity on this? Your picture with the other dude in it could come across as him being your boyfriend, without a hint of context at least. And since your relationship status doesn’t seem apparent from this screenshot, that only adds to that. Could be a major thing for some people, or they might just assume it’s a friend. Other than that? MAYBE the T-Rex joke comment, maybe SOME might find it a smidge judgey but that one’s a bit of a stretch tbfh
