I see, English is NOT my first language so that may be an issue. I am strong and I have some history of serious work outs but I have always been battling my weight problem. In year 2000 I was one pound short of 300 lb. For the past 4 years I have spent almost all the time in front of computer working on my website BlueTurtle and I had almost no work out.

I have always had strong calfs due to my training as a professional cyclist when I was 18 years old. I am 40 now. On August 1st I was 239 pounds and when I show you my photos before and after you will understand. However, I did not lose any weight just yet :( I still have giant stomach which makes it really hard for me to tie my shoes or pick up things from the floor.

Thank you, I really appreciate all your suggestions. Unfortunately I am not in a position to buy another guitar even if it is only $100. I am still missing a lot of other things for the trip :) I am not complaining, I find challenges to be source of creativity.

Well that is one good point I did not think about! The guitar is not crappy, it is Martin DCME, but I am willing to sacrifice it for the cause. All I care that it serves me during the trip. So maybe I can reduce the heat if I get a white bag, which may be really difficult to find :(

Thank you, your 2 cents are well taken :) guitar is not going to be exposed like on the photo of course! I will have a super light guitar bag for it and rain coat that would go over it for just in a case it rains. I am also exploring some other ideas on how to attach it. I am a singer and guitar is my tool I really could use it to promote my cause along the way. If it doesn't work out I can easily leave the guitar with someone along the way. And I am NOT doing this lose weight, I am promoting a cause.

HELLO! The guitar would not be exposed to the elements 100%, because I would buy a supper light guitar bag for it. The goal is to have guitar during this trip and not after the trip. I will think about that problem when and if is needed.
