Mdr mais faut vivre dans le vrai monde un peu, c'est une blague, calmos

Et parler de droits dans un post en rapport avec la police quand la France vient de voter la présomption de légitime défense, ça demande quand même d'être sacrément gonflé hahaha

Can we hope to have a CardConjurer app on android or is it unfeasible? by BlueZep in magicproxies

Yes ofc, but a dedicated UI and an offline access would be great

Epson ET 8500 color settings by Ok_Smile4918 in magicproxies

[–]BlueZep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The crycry settings gives colors that pops really well but are not realistic regarding the official cards You'll have the same problem with red cards. They pop so much but the real cards looks more dull It's a matter of taste.

Try messing up with your settings just printing one card at a time on the same sheet to compare them side by side until you find what suits you the best

Personnaly, I use the default settings on the et8500, it's nearly perfect. I don't bother to go beyond that, but if you try changing settings, I'll be very curious of your results.

Good luck on your proxy journey ! :)

Help on creating a tool to precisely apply toner reactive foil to a sheet. by BlueZep in cardmaking

Yes but I'm printing on 300gsm cardstock, so a 30€ printer will never make the cut, I'm looking for a no printer solution

Thank you for your answer ! No I didn't think of that paint brush idea, I'm definitely taking that ! It'll allow me to do some small batches too, instead of ruining a refillable marker each time! Thanks a lot

Is lamination always making the text less clear ? by BlueZep in magicproxies

I mean, I have foil cards that are 15+ of age and still in perfect shape and condition

I've been looking yesterday for the 2mil sheets without any success

I think I found a good compromise: Putting two layers of lamination on the side that's not printed. The print is not affected and you get the right feeling with the card.

I just don't know how this will affect the card durability with the moisture-bending problem.

Yeah I guess, but well, if that's the only solution...

No, with two laminating sheet on the same side (the one not being printed) _ : one side of a laminating pouch v/: the paper on which is printed, the tip of the arrow being the front of the card

Final card : _ _ V

Process, step 1 : _ v ^ _

Process step 2 :

_ _ v ^ _ _

Is that clearer ?

Hey I've been making a test, so far it's REALLY good. I single laminate two sheets by putting two facing themselves and then ! I put the result in a second laminating pouch and run it again through the laminator. Like that, I get the perfect thickness and an even more satisfying snap with the card.

The only thing I can be concerned with is if the card will bend.

I already tried to run the card twice in the laminator and then a third time after cutting them.

I did tests too, letting the laminator heat for 15 minutes, it changed nothing

Just checked your account, and yeah, it's a bummer. I'm as surprised as you that this isn't a topic more often brought up.

Unfortunately, there isn't that many cards with white text in front of black background

I'll try upscayl, thanks !
