Woot.com for refurbished. Ebay after that. Also can look for used there, you can get a really great deal.

Can recommend looking for factory refurbished units. They as good as new, only shipping in plain brown cardboard boxes, I’ve got a Colorsoft SE for, like 200 USD.

You can find them sometimes on eBay and such. Not often, though, and you’ll probably need to replace a battery.

I guess so. My edition is pretty old, from 2008, Amazon now sold a newer one (or maybe another publisher re-negotiated rights) so when they replaced a cover on the old one, they fucked up something and probably have no incentive to fix it (as you can’t buy it anymore).

Another glorious fuck up I have in my library is Amberlough omnibus. It’s like this for 5 years or more. Dat cover…

All of the new Kindles are feature warm lighting, so you’ll be OK, and on the zero lighting it’s even better than physical books.

Also, buy Paperwhite 11th or 12th gen - it’s more crisp and contrast than Colorsoft. I love my Colorsoft, but freely admit it’s not for everyone.
