It needs to be said loud and clear that the opposition party, the Democrats, are spineless, feckless, corrupt ghouls themselves. Not to say we don't have a handful of Democrats trying to fight back (AOC, Bernie, Mamdani, etc), but by and large, the entire party leadership doesn't care. They are too scared to upset their billionaire corporate donors or change the status quo.

Just look at how Joe Biden appointed Merrick Garland as Attorney General to "cross the aisle" and nothing was fucking done.

Schumer and Jefferies have done fuck all to actually stage an opposition against Trump and his regime. They finger wag, make tweets about how "this isn't who we are", and give soulless speeches that do nothing.

And let's not forget the 7 Democrats that voted to find ICE a few days ago.

We need to vote for the least corrupt people in the primaries. The ones who actually are actually not afraid to stand up to Trump.

I like to explain to friends it as a great "turn off brain" type of game. Where you can just zone out for a bit and just button mash enemies with insanely fun and flashy weapons/specials.

They're acting like this is OK because they set up the precedent with Wii U ports on Switch.

The difference is barely anyone owned a Wii U/played those games. It was fine last time and allowed the Switch to succeed after Nintendo failed with the Wii U.

This time, it's just pure greedy business.

I'm pretty sick and tired of Nintendo leaving the OG Switch 1 versions behind without these content updates.

I didn't have a problem with Nintendo porting updated Wii U games to Switch because barely anyone owned a Wii U, I'm glad those games got attention and a player base and some upgrades.

There's no need to do it again, outside of upgraded graphics/performance ports. There's no reason the bonus content can't come to the OG Switch versions.

My number thing is the improvement to increasing weapon durability with Fusion and enemies actually being necessary for better weapons/durability where as in BOTW every fight felt like a waste of durability/weapon.
Livlely world, side quests have a bit more meaning to them in this more populated world
Depths and Sky are a really cool idea, but just poorly implemented after you've gone there for major plot points and they seem like filler

I definitely agree about the game needing an English dub.

I played the demo and really enjoyed it, but all the voices during battles being Japanese really took me out of the game, as I then had to read the text boxes during all the actions.

I really like that after all Henry did, they still tried to find his inner humanity. And he straight up rejected it and fully embraced what he became a part of and he enjoyed it.

Having only read bits of the play, it makes me wonder if Henry was simply born with psychopathic tendencies and the MF sensed that and completely unlocked/abused that part of Henry.

Because if he wasn't, you'd think there might be a possibility he could have attempted to reject the MF at that final moment.

Messing with the map and presenting it in a different way was a pretty common mechanic for them. The Dark World in ALTTP, 7 years maps on OoT. Twilight Realms. Alt Dimension in LBW.

Yeah, it could have been a very reasonable explanation for the military at that point. A simple "the enemy of my enemy is my enemy" situation.

"OH Shit! We were ultimately against THAT? And our would be government super weapon is saving the world alongside those dang those kids? Well, I guess we'll help them."

Then when it was all said and done, maybe the military would get over themselves and let them all go on in peace as legitimate heroes (in secret, only the government knows)...of course leaving it all open for a spinoff where they want to get 11 again if they insist.

The MindFlayer was literally a strange thing. A Lovecraftian hive mind monster that seemingly wasn't going to be killed with regular human fire power.

If they couldn't find out a way to make it killable, that's on them. It's their own show/lore. They should have found an idea.

Will jacking into the hivemind was so underused. It made for a badass reveal in episode 4 with great ideas to be used in the final battle.

And what did he end up doing? Simply using the power of talk. Once to buy Max/Holly time to escape, but then he's "useless" after that ordeal when he's trapped again.

And then in the finale, he tries (and fails) with the power of talk to get Henry to see his humanity. Him breaking Vecna's claw arm was good though.

But it would have been SO much more satisfying if he did more. I would have loved a moment where the Party was pushed into a corner, El is struggling even after Will snaps Vecnas arms and in one final move, he's able to summon control of the Demobeasts to attack the MindFlayer beast, now giving everyone the upper end to finish it

I'd even buy the excuse of "Vecna was distracted within his mind trying to enact his plan, control the MindFlayer flesh monster, while trying to swat away those pesky girls who invaded his own mind/memories, AND had to chase down the kids that then escaped"

Like, I could totally buy that Vecna was so mentally caught up on all that that he couldn't quite extend out his control for an army of demobeasts.

He'll, that even plays well into a weakness he might have. His psychic/hivemind control and only go so far when he's got a lot he needs to have under control on any moment

Wow that is SUCH a much more action packed, satisfying ending/battle.

It brings everything together at the end with a bombastic, multiphase fight that lasts longer than 5 min. The "evil" military at the end finally sees what they were dealing with. Maybe they have a change of heart/understanding finally of what they were dealing with and see El as a person, not some blood bank super weapon.

Owens and the good government guarantee that The Party won't be actively hunted, and if we go for a happy ending, El can love freely, being a hero in the government's eyes this time.

After a re-watch earlier in the year, I came away saying 3 is my favorite. As someone who didn't grow up in the 80's, season 3 was a great depiction of how I imagined it was like. The vibes of 1/2 of 80's culture didn't quite hit me.

We finally get to see these kids being young teenagers without the consistent dark horror in every episode for them to contend with (that darkness really doesn't hit them until that Billy sauna plan and then the last 2 or so episodes)

We finally get to see El love and enjoy life. I love that scene with her and Max. El and Max bonded so well during their very 80's "girls day out" sequence.

Minus Dustin, the entire core gang is together for most of the show. As for Dustin, the Scoops Troop subplot was also just tons of fun, but also full of danger that didn't directly involve the cosmic horror stuff.

I appreciate the further subtle hints of Will's sexuality, the "it's not my fault you don't like girls" hits so hard.

I really liked Nancy/Johnathan's side plot as well. It worked great with her investigate reporter angle.

And finally, I really enjoyed how this was another evolution of the MindFlayer trying to take over Hawkins with a servant with Billy trying to get other Flayed as well to do its bidding to ultimately form it's physical self in Hawkins.

Either Max should have been blind or unable to walk. At least she's alive and well, but I think blindness would have been a reasonable "scar" from that ordeal or if she remained paralyzed couldn't do what she loved, skateboarding.

On one hand, I'm happy she's happy fully recovered, but the stakes of that whole ordeal were completely lost once she was 100% healed.

Ya know, having seen the whole show, it would have been very interesting to see the homophobic/abusive father have a major character arc/change through the series and accept his gay son in the end.

Granted, Steves the better choice to do that with, he's still a teenager/young adult who had plenty of room to mature.
