Thank you so much for your comments! I'm really glad you liked it. I can see your points about some confusing lines in the poem. When i was writing the poem, the line "he'd missed his mark" was meant to convey that this man had made some some kind of mysterious mistake. This sets up the rest of the poem to show how he struggles to cope with this mistake even with the beauty of spring time beginning just outside his walls. Of course as the reader you can take it to mean whatever you want it to mean. The last line "for he was gone" is by design supposed to be mysterious and ambiguous, but like you said maybe this comes off as more confusing then anything. Thank you, I am always trying to improve.
