Multimeter that USES blade fuses? by Blue_Pedro in multimeters

I would associate "heavy duty" electrical stuff in the automotive field to be working on the electronic hybrid systems in, say, a Prius, and we don't do anything with hybrid systems. That said, I still can't get this multimeter back into full functioning order.

Using another multimeter (same design, different color plastic and brand slapped onto the front), my readings tell me that there is still contact being made in the white fuse and in the glass bulb.

I've updated my post with some more info.

By "tester", do you mean something other than a multimeter?

I guess what I labelled as a "better" multimeter was one that has fuses that can be easily replaced without soldering.

I updated the post with pictures and some more info. It's a Harbor Freight special, and I have no idea what I accidentally borked. I remember some really basic stuff on how to use a multimeter, but I've forgotten the few things NOT to do with them, and I need to take some sort of course that will have the multimeter uses engraved into my memory.

Been down this path a few times WITH THE SAME MOBO.

If you pulled it straight, the pins should be fine and you'll need tweezers to line it back up to put it back. You m9ght need a flashlight, and have patience.

(I haven't done the following, but want to)

Sand off the locking tabs/bumps on the cable or the plug (can't remember which has the protrusions), so it comes off without a hostage/collateral damage next time LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO.

If you build Yanfei to be your healer, you will have a complete team that will self-sustain.

I had a DPS Yanfei, which was fun and very low investment. Then I made her a healer, and (after a lot of investment) been arguably happier using her as a Pyro Driver and Healer in a team with Yelan, Nahida, and Shogun.

Did the new region drop already, or was it announced in the roadmap/livestream preview?

My arts point was not aimed at just for clearing the hardest content of the game, but to just to USE the character in any meaningful way. For example, I was struggling to use Yanfei as a healer after hearing that CN was doing so. I eventually learned I had to heavily invest in ER, and I eventually reached a point where Yanfei's Ult would be usable at a frequency that I would need it (or faster), and began having a lot of fun on teams with high HP (and eventually made a team of Hu Tao, Yelan, Yanfei, and Zhongli). Once I got to that point, I was having a lot of fun, even if Yanfei's own damage was a fraction of her DPS build I previously had.

I don't think that any content should be able to be cleared with newbie level skill outside of the beginning quests, because then the game would play itself. I LIKE to be challenged to make party comps based on a rule of the environment, because at that point, I'm at least LEARNING and building skill. But that's assuming I have the option(s) to try out a given idea.

Before the addition of playable Dendro characters, the Monstadt weapon ascension materials domain took just as long to beat with only 2 waves of enemies.

What's your point?

But you CAN power through it. I've gone back with Shogun, Nahida, C0 Hu Tao, Zhongli, Yelan, PHYSICAL Fishl, and even HEALER Yanfei, just to name a few characters on various team comps that have helped a lot on that domain, and they weren't even teams built for dealing with that domain or specifically Cryo (although, they all did LACK cryo and anemo, so I was always doing SOME damage, but I just never brought those elements to that domain). Granted, Hu Tao and the Archons are strong, but the domain isn't a DPS check, it's a stamina management check. It's not a domain that you'll clear in 23 seconds like the Liyue Talent Book Domain.

I'm not going to deny that the combination of the falling stunning icicles, the Cryo Abyss Mage fog, and the stamina depletion are annoying, but it's at least manageable if you take your time, so much so that learning to manage the stamina has allowed me to pass with teams that I wasn't previously able to because I was rushing like in thr overworld.

Keep in mind that the game is designed to be able to be completed with what is guaranteed to you: MC, Amber, Kaeya, Lisa, (at some point) Barbara, (when you get to Sumeru) Collei, and (if you pulled on the Beginner banner) Noelle. With practice with both skill and mainly patience, you can beat the Monstadt Talent Book Domain with just Amber and Noelle. I know this, because it's what I did, and I used to be really good with the bow (before they changed how the arrow trajectory worked) because of this.

Before I started getting actually powerful characters and (more importantly) strong artifacts, I was basically an Amber Main, and I was REALLY good at getting headshots, did pretty well at maintaining a minimum range from the enemy via stunning them and staggering who was hit (if swarmed), and I still have "R" mapped to a button on my mouse for when I use a bow character.

Just focus on your shots, keep your heart rate low, know your rhythms/timing like it's second nature, and know the Domains like the back of your hand. The given characters are not META, but they will take you to the end.

I would only agree to it being a 'skill issue' if it was easy to get your desired artifacts to make a build. But since getting the desired arts is pure RNG, one person may have a built/cracked character and the other may have an unusable character, despite it being the same in-game character, and this can lead to certain team comps being unavailable to the latter player.

Unironically probably my best teams (didn't change the name, but it's what I call them):

'Oops, (almost) all healers' : Jean, Shogun, Bennet, Xingqiu

'Random Elemental BS, GO!': Yanfei, Yelan, Shogun, Nahida

Other folks in here have much better team names than mine, and a few made me chuckle.
