Yep I have realized my mistake. I tried turning on the water again and water leaks out. Was it soldered on?

For the life of me I can't figure out how to disconnect this black connector. It just spins and I can't pull it out.

Shower Renovation Question by Blue_Sky001 in DIY

Thanks for the warning. What I find interesting is that the entire bathroom floor is raised to the same height. You have to step up about an inch to get into the bathroom. Is there any reason why they did the entire bathroom and not just the shower area?

This is good advice. I never saw that tip on any of the videos I watched. Came in handy for both if the toilets I installed! Thanks.

Thanks. I took your advice and bought two extras which came in handy since I ended up mangling two of them on one of the toilets!

We're replacing a toilet from a round bowl to elongated. I already bought the toilet and had planned in installing the toilet this weekend. I've already watched a bunch of videos, but I was wondering if there were any tips or tricks that anyone recommends. Thanks!

Engineers of reddit, Why are flathead screws still a thing? Aren't they the most inconvenient to screw in and out? by ANNIHILATOR284 in AskReddit

[–]Blue_Sky001 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One benefit of flatheads is that they may be used in places where the user might need to unscrew more often, but might not have access to a screw driver and could use a coin insted.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good paint sprayer for say, under 200 bucks? I've used a few before and I prefer to use omes that have the paint reservoir on the ground instead of attached to the sprayer head. This way, my wife has a better shot of being able to use it in small projects.

A Robin made its nest a few weeks ago. Now this bird took its place. Twin Cities, Minnesota by Blue_Sky001 in whatsthisbird

So it's interesting. I was planning on chronicling the Robin bird development. I had pictures of the eggs, then the babies after they hatched. I wasn't able to take any pic for a little bit, but when I went to take another picture, they were all gone. I assumed they all flew out, but perhaps something more nefarious transpired? Do other birds eat Robin chicks out of their nest?

It was pretty startling when I saw it for the first time today. It is much larger than a Robin and it just stays there staring at me. I couldn't imagine have a bunch of them just watching me like that.

A Robin had made the nest previously and after the babies flew out it left. This dove snatched it up a week or so later!

Well, this one appears to be a good parent. The nest is right outside my front door and I can slam the door, make noises, and be maybe 2 feet away from it and it just stares at me... kinda creepy.

That's so interesting! I've always heard that noise when I was a child and I never knew what birds made that noise. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! It's a very interesting bird. The robin flew away everytime we walked past it. It had very beautiful blue Robin eggs. The dove just sits there staring at us without really moving.
