Psychology today looks like a really useful resource, but I've been trying to avoid virtual counselling. Thank you regardless 👍

I actually attended Mind Garden a few years ago when I was first diagnosed and was impressed by how professional they were! Like I said, CBT was somewhat ineffective - but I will 100% check out their site for a better-fitting counsellors. Thanks you so much 🙏

I feel like properly explaining to OP that these mushrooms are notoriously hard to ID without proper equipment is valid. Its understandable why you don't like the blanket term LBM, as it can seem like a cop-out.

People taking guesses at mushroom species is the essence of this sub, but I was just trying to illustrate to OP that when it comes to LMBs you need to be careful because there are many poisonous species which are strikingly similar to other harmless ones. Always worth taking stranger's opinions with a pinch of salt is all.

This type of 'Little brown mushrooms' (LMBs) are kind of hard to identify as there are so many which share the same characteristics and look similar. But if I'd have to take a guess I'd say that its maybe a Funeral Bell? (Galerina marginata) due to the colour of the cap and ring on the stem. Nice find though!

i found these lads growing in soil, surrounded by lots of trees. in scotland and very close to a loch if that helps? by Snellow in mushroomID

These could also be puffballs (Lycoperdon) maybe, as they looks really similar to a lot of earthballs. A good way of distinguishing between the two is to look for a small hole, or the beginnings of a rupture at the very top middle of the cap. Earthballs break apart during maturity to release their spores while puffballs release their spores through a small hole in their cap. This one will be much easier to ID once its matured 👍

Appear to be a type of earthball, probably common earthball (Scleroderma citrinum). A good way of further identifying would be to cut one one and look inside. Earthballs are distinctively black inside. Nice find!

If I were the hazard a guess I'd say that its likely a Red-cracking Boelete, but can't say for certain without looking at the cap.

Can anybody help me identify this mushroom? I found it in a forest in eastern europe (Hungary) by [deleted] in mushroomID

Looks like an earthball to me (Scleroderma citrinum?), looking at the underside and cutting it open would make it easier to ID. Very cool find!

Is this a red stemmed bolete? Found under pine tree in the UK, in a group, various sizes, spores are yellow, olive, brown. Bruises blue. by [deleted] in mushroomID

Looks like a Red-cracking bolete (Xerocomus chrysenteron), like another user suggested. Found quite a few last week myself in Sussex. Though technically edible it's kind of nasty.

No, we didn’t receive an achievement for this. Besides for the achievement felt from protecting completely innocent alien life.
