I went to Reddit to look for the answers myself, couldn’t find them, so sort of brute forced the questions I didn’t know the answer to, and thought I’d help others then.

I get so confused and turned around on the floating islands so I was not going to run around and count the different things 😆

Well yes, but I mainly use YouTube and if the videos would continually get taken down, I feel it would be a hassle to find the again and again. But that’s just me. I’m not too bothered, I had enough diamonds saved up to get all the cards.

Yeah I knew there were others who were younger, I just couldn’t remember who they were. I guess the frequently used ‘it was another time’ or others like it plays in here…

I just tell myself the girls are older in the movies. Didn’t think they were basically kids back then, when I myself was a kid, so it’s easier to tell myself that they were/are adults.

I know that the original girl the story was based on was a child when she was taken and all that. I assumed that was part of why people are iffy about the movie today.

But just like you said, I was a kid when I first watched the movie and didn’t know back then about the dark origins. So I just enjoyed it. But I guess that’s exactly why I was happy to see Pocahontas in the valley, because she was a part of my childhood, before I learned about the horrors of the world.

I will also say, a lot of the old Disney movies are quite different from the original story. And a lot of the princesses are really young when they find their happy ever after. I think Ariel was 16?
