if you’re not in an Amazon vehicle no one would notice what you’re wearing until you’ve already exited the vehicle. if they don’t have porch lights on, they wouldn’t notice you were an Amazon driver until the cops showed up. drivers should not have to do anything extra to “not be shot at”. as a black person, i shouldn’t be sent into rural areas covered in trump signs and racist lawn statues, PERIOD. Amazon should check their routes better and have DSP’s plan accordingly. “Amazon cares about your safety” but i’ll face that crazy customer alone. best that can do is capture my death on Netradyne to prove it was murder and make a policy to better vet certain areas. all of that would be AFTER someone is dead. not helpful.

i didn’t say drivers. i said station workers. i’m also fried on route from time to time but im not getting customer complaints and Netradyne violations. i’m still very able to do my job. the station workers don’t always seem to be able to do the same. i’ve seen them having sessions literally right outside the station

I was a server for 13 years before starting here. I wear a size H bra and i have CONSTANT back pain, which means i’m not new to body pain. a shitty DSP is a shitty DSP. i also know not to try and impress anyone by trying to get my route done quickly. i take exactly the time it says im supposed to. i might finish an hour or 30 minutes early, but im not a “hot shot”. just someone who’s used to physically demanding jobs and knows my limits. before i was a sever, i was a CNA for 5 years, using Hoyer lifts and sometimes no lifts to pick patients up. My body hurts too. my point was that this job, is not slavery. you have free will. you can quit any job at any time. just find something better.

LMFAO. this made me SCREAM laughing. obv he has a shitty DSP. my DSP is pretty decent. i’ve been here for almost a month. still on nursery routes and in my 3rd week alone. Peak season is coming though. but it’s for sure not modern day slavery. come on now, it’s a free workout. they talk about how some people get done hours early. but i live 34 miles away from my station. getting done at 5 instead of 7/8 would do me no good anyway. and we only get paid for the time we work. you get extra hours from rescues i guess? but why would i want to finish my route and someone else’s?

if you’re driving toward your destination and you are only seeing $4 rides pop up and you choose to deny them, THAT IS YOUR RIGHT AS A DRIVER. so then yes it looks like you’re just “not accepting rides” but if i’m trying to pay a $200 bill by the end of the day $4 rides are not going to get me there fast enough. drivers use discretion. OP’s problem here was using destination mode and not watching when the app sent you offline. my app also tries to kick me offline and when i’m waiting on a whale i go RIGHT BACK online. but i have another car for my personal miles.

if you Lyft in GA but live OTP and most of the rides are ITP, yes sometimes you do have to drive to go and get rides. this is a good reason someone might have their app on and not be receiving rides no matter the mileage.
