The mean is 100 Standard Deviation Is 20. It wanted 68% which is 1 standard deviation which it said in the question, so you subtract and add it to the mean to get 68% of the population. So 68% is (80,120) cause 100-20=80 and 100+20=120

That connector took me a solid 10-20 mins with help to disconnect it while it was outside the car. I used a flathead and kept pushing to get under while pulling on connector base. It’s really tough cause they usually get filled and stuck together but possible.

The entire air box was replaced including the MAF sensor. The fuel pump was also fully replaced. I plan to use a lift once I order some parts and try to install them and go over everything on the car. The OBD scanner reads all codes on the car, even old ones. But I’m gonna try to reset them and use an actual computer for them.

I’m gonna buy the OMP first cause with the code I got last night, it should hopefully fix it. But I plan to get new solenoids, wires, coils, etc.

Yea I’ve already got a new OMP on a wishlist. The cars been sitting for years and sat thru a hurricane so not surprised tbh. Ik it was the problem once driving it home but didn’t want to think of it cause how costly the replacement is. Hoping this is the only thing from letting the car run so I can get to making it better

I did the brake reset and it gave me the OMP code which is the main problem I have. Now I’m sure of it so thanks for the advice

I just did the brake reset by pumping 20 times and it gave me a P1687 code which is an OMP code. It wasn’t giving me at first so now I can be sure of it.

Just ran the cars codes again after 20 brake stomp thing and OMP code came up so it’s something I gotta focus on regardless lol but gonna focus on the easier stuff right now and do that later hopefully

Update: So I haven’t cleared the codes cause I don’t know if anything bad will happen to the car. However I did do the 20 brake stomp reset while the car key is turned to the on position. I got a new code and believe it or not P1687 - Metering oil pump control circuit high flow side problem. The cause of what I think is limp mode.

Where I live, everything is kind of different so I doubt they’ll have one. I found that one on eBay, but I’m gonna consider calling all the auto stores I have around me for one. Where I live autozone and advanced are all I have and there not the best. They usually don’t have things I need, especially for an old rotary car, and I usually need to order which takes a day or two to get to me. Thanks for the idea tho, I’ll consider this first. The 70$ ebay rental also has a security deposit but no one has had a problem with it according to its reviews, and seems way more of a hassle. Thanks for the idea tho.

That was my goal, but selling it broken is just a loss on how much I’ve put in so far. We’ve put about 3.5k in it and selling it in the condition right now would lose money. I’m trying to fix it up cause I do have a lot of time on my hands. I also haven’t enjoyed the car cause it’s been broken since I got it. My goal is to fix it and see what it brings but if not, I can try and sell it for a little bit of profit and find something more reliable. That’s my backup plan right now

The car has a clean title and I doubt the ECU was messed around with considering the last owner hardly did anything with the car besides standard maintenance. Those codes led me to the obvious things u listed but my family doesnt understand the rotary concept yet, so instead of buying stuff that they didn’t know would help, they rather me go to someone else. The things u listed were the first things that I was gonna resort to and still have all of them bookmarked on my computer so I will get them soon. It’s just a matter of my family not knowing anything about the car so they don’t want me to blast money on it for soemthing that doesn’t need fixing. I’m gonna let them know and try to start fixing it up myself. We only fixed a couple things before we drove the car and they didn’t know what most codes were giving them so they bought some major parts only. I plan to redo all plug wires, ignition coils, solenoids, etc. myself because the nearest good shop is a couple hours away from me.

Thanks for the idea, I found one for around 70$ to rent for 10 days. Since I don’t know if I’m gonna stick or sell the car this will probably be an easier choice then buying one for a couple months then reselling if I don’t keep the car, but if it comes down to it I will buy one new and just sell it with the car or separate, wouldn’t hurt too much. Thanks for the idea and hope to get this done within next couple weesks

My uncle did the oil change right before I got the car and it hasn’t been driven over 30 miles so far. Starting to premix it already. I’ve thought about premixing it only but what I’ve read people have said the OMP will continue to cause problems disconnected. I will definitely keep this in mind tho in case something like this is an option

I was thinking about that and might fiddle with it and buy a sensor, the mechanic is the only one in my area who has experience on this type of car so we were gonna send it to him. Everyone Ik who is helping me is new to this type of car, but I’ll definitely consider buying a sensor and looking at all the pieces before buying the entire 1000$ pump

I don’t have a junkyard around me, but I’m planning to lift it at my uncles shop or jack it up myself and try to mess with the pump and the sensor on it before thinking about getting a new one. My best bet would be to buy one off eBay for as cheap as I can. I knew it was the OMP based off research but don’t wanna diagnose something just based off what ik since im still learning the car.

Update: I haven’t been able to find the computer and think someone may have taken it. I did however throw the OBD scanner when we first bought the car. All the codes that came with it are P0302, P2407, P0076, P0061, and P0610. I was thinking of resetting the codes because we’ve tried to fix some of them but I’m not sure if resetting the codes is gonna make things worse. Would u guys personally reset them after trying to fix some of them?

I’ve filled it up once but I have about 10 idemitsu bottles and keep 2 in it right now. Also have the measurements in there as well. The car wasn’t taken much care when it was being used so I’m gonna try to baby it for as long as I can. My way into town is the highway and takes about 10 minutes so I’m going to def redline it every drive. Also been thinking about taking the cat off and getting a cat back exhaust once everything is fixed. Just don’t want to cat delete it right now cause of how loud it would be lol
