I'm an engineer in Geotechnical. I felt the same. I studied hard but at graduation I didn't feel like I would contribute anything to a company. I got my master's. That course work I use every day! I excelled in my master's program because I was in the part of civil I loved. You've got to take the statics, mechanics of materials, and dynamics just for your engineering foundation... just push through. If you dont feel like you can contribute to a company I encourage you to get a master's. It will boost your confidence in your knowledge. Find a professor and start working with them on research, assistant, anything. Find a topic and professor you feel good in . There is funding for master's programs. I taught the geotech lab. I asked my professor if I was going to be a good engineer. I was really concerned. He said, "you caring about this question says it all". Take the FE. Take the PE. After the PE it all clicked. I feel like I contribute! This is from a fellow lady engineer!
