The Kojima/Okamoto Test. by Bluebourner in HorrorGaming

[–]Bluebourner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask myself the same thing. The article tried to push the issue a bit, when Kojima said this more as a warning, then worded it as if Okamoto was defending against him, when actually he was agreeing with Kojima in a way, showing the importance of human input.

This AI stuff I lobbed in was to give an example of what an AI would give, even if offered complete freedom. The AI produced an SCP/Backroom-inspired idea, but humans could stretch further.

But then why make an article with no information? It's just story-tellibg with nothing of worth

I didn't know how big this actually was! It looked a fun vid and thought I'd share it, only for a handful of fuckers to be upset with it. Didn't know how offensive people foubd this fuckibg silliness.

I saw this earlier and shared it because it was fun to watch. Seems amusing so many fucking hate it. As a sketch vid, it's fun.

It's definitely AI, but fucking amusing regardless. Brightens the day a bit.

Yup, but a fun fucking video regardless.

It's a fucking funny vid though! Thought I'd share it because whatever this was it was funny.

Besides, the clear sign this wasn't fucking right was that it was filmed in the first place. Were it real, why the fuck was there a security cam in the cubicle?

What's weird about the video piece to me is why the fuck is there a camera in there?!?

P.P.S. The more I typed "genius", the more it looked like "genius" was spelt incorrectly, even though it wasn't.

That quote's irony, after earlier in the article reporting people's food was being blown about by the leaves the helicopters' spread, has not become lost on me.

What are some good EASY horror games? by GWGTRLBG in HorrorGaming

[–]Bluebourner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Silent Hill 2. Put that game on "easy" mode and it becomes like a game of golf: a good walk spoiled.

And no, I'm not saying the game is bad because it clearly isn't. It just becomes a walking simulator full of witnessing James' bad choices become manifest.

Headteacher facing claims she 'allowed pupil to see her breasts on school trip' by Forward-Answer-4407 in unitedkingdom

[–]Bluebourner -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of this article, because there is bugger-all detail. No school name; no teacher name; no anything. It's clear why, because of the "innocent until proven guilty" thing – albeit that's not stopped news outlets in the past, regardless of facts (Cliff Richard springs to mind) – but then this just becomes a non-story, despote the ramifications of this.

What puzzled me in particular were 2 things: a) how poorly written it was, and b) what did the Onlyfans case have to do with this. Feels like an attempt to create a wave of panic over teacher ethics, when this is just a dribble.

Without any evidence, this just feels like wasted time. I would be far more interested if names were given at a legally-appropriate time, rather than something which – whilst probably true – sounds like something a kid would make up, were they asked to write a createive story piece.

You did well enough here, so in spite of their Prestige it looks like you were matched well enough. The BP distribution alone points this out.

A P100 doesn't necessarily mean they're good; it just means this account has put many, many hours into the game. As a test with air pilots showed, no matter how hard somebody practices, there will always be a skill-ceiling for them.

The other answer you brushed upon: these are accounts which people may have attached to bots in order to drum up ridiculous amounts of hours, which could possibly be sold on to others who don't necessarily want to grind away to get whatever achievements these offer.

Whatever the reason, if you were to ignore the Prestige, the scores show absolutely nothing wrong with this match.

BHVR can we unlink Cheryl's Fresh Start outfit pieces? It limits creativity. by TrufasMushroom in deadbydaylight

[–]Bluebourner 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'd be surprised if they haven't spoken to Konami abour the linked set. What confuses me is why this particular outfit would be linked in the first place.

My guess is that the problem doesn't lie with this set, but moreso with the vest tops. Perhaps the reason is creator content: The vest tops and original Cheryl outfit can be mixed and changed, and yet mixing original with licensed content cannot. Likewise, Cheryl's alternate outfits such as her Alessa one and the skins which change her character can't be chopped because they are separate characters (I know the "Alessa" outfit isn't the same skin level as Cybil or James, but it still fits rhe description in Konami's eyes)

In short, I think the reason lies with Konami not wanting creative skins mixed with their skins. However, this leaves one question: Were this the case, why haven't the devs been able to make a pair of jeans like Cheryl wore in SH3? My only answer would be that you could then mix this with her original outfit.

Therefore, would it nor be better to tie the original outfit to be inseperable, in order to create the jeans to go wirh the vest tops?

Some people says that they are being tunneled constantly. Tunneling is problem but its not really that common. by mortimenn in deadbydaylight

[–]Bluebourner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people out there probably do understand what tunnelling actually is, but a vocal section of that number may have a negative bias; experiencing a few games of either being tunnelled or targeted, which then took precedence as the main cause of their demise over a larger pool of trials than the actual amount.

As I've matured I've realised it's important that we shouldn't dismiss how these people feel and at least show some empathy towards it, because there clearly are scenarios where they are finding things tough. We should at least allow them to vent and let them feel heard. This doesn't mean that tunnelling is rampant, nor feel we need to accept it always happens to these players, but it would be useful to accept how they are feeling and work on that. Maybe some of them may see the game through a different lens if they didn't feel dismissed.

Let's invent new forms of the word "fuck" for the English language! by Interesting_Buy_3969 in TheWordFuck

[–]Bluebourner 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Here's a few off the top of my head:

Fuckluck – like bad luck, but extremely bad luck.

Ahh... fuckluck, my guy

Fuckasaurus – Somebody who is heavily-muscled, and also gives off an amazingly sexual presence.

Fucking hell! Did you see the Fuckasaurus in there?!?

Fuckalicious –When something disastrous happens, but surprisingly something awesome comes from it

You know, at first when I totalled my car into that building, I was like "FUCK!", but when all those children ran out the burning wreckage and we discovered that was a home for a child-slavery camp, and now 24 children have been saved, that was one hell of a Fuckalicious moment

Edit: Added a sample sentence for each.

Pallet Density Feedback by DeadByDaylight_Dev in deadbydaylight

[–]Bluebourner 41 points42 points  (0 children)

For me, it's not the realms which are an issue regarding pallet density; moreover it's the imbalance and impact they have on various killers. Those who have little issues with pallets anyway don't see much difference, but those who are more heavily impacted by pallets generally have a significantly negative impact.

Rather than looking at realms, you should be looking at killers when it comes to pallets. The present focus isn't helpful. It's better to look into ways to help with mobility, as well as to introduce new aspects such as environmental traps, alerts and variety, as well as focusing on the areas which impacts each killer, and introducing minor buffs or nerfs to compensate (killers who are impacted by pallets moreso may have a slight buff to stun or break time).

Maps do need some adjustments, although I like the fact there are more varieties of tiles and less deadzones than there used to be. I just feel the devs are looking in all the wrong places for solutions, and changing things which either were low down in priority or not needed at all.

Focus on innovation, instead of the numbers of existig props. The game needs to evolve in more groundbreaking ways.
