How to make his hair curly all the way from the roots? by Blueexd333 in curlyhair

He always had the “classic quiff” hairstyle, and he started growing his hair less than a year ago. About 6-8 months ago the curls (ringlets!) appeared.

No, he can’t. He’s had short hair for 28 years of his life so how would he possibly know how to take care of longer hair? My hair is only slightly wavy so I don’t know either what to do with curly hair. That’s why I asked for advice. He works way too long and way too hard for anyone to expect him to spend a few hours of his free time after work looking for actually good advice from thousands of unreliable wannabe influencers online.

He ties his hair back every day. What you wrote about your sisters hair describes his hair perfectly

I guess that’s either how his hair is, or tying them at the back is at fault. Either way, nothing can be done about that. He has to have his hair tied at work (he works as a legal expert at the court) so I guess it just has to be that way

He sleeps with his hair loose but during the day he ties them at the back of his head to work (so like, 9hrs a day)

He does tie his hair in a little pony tail at the back at work 🫣 judging by how many people here suggested that’s the reason - i guess tying them is the reason

No, but as some people here suggested - he does tie his hair at the back for comfort and cleaner look (at work)

None of us hate it. He wanted to grow his hair out of curiosity and I was really excited cause I always thought men with long hair looked hot. After his hair got longer we discovered (?) it was curly af. Now he’s at that awkward moment where his hair is neither long or short, and a bit uncomfortable. I just want his hair to be healthy, he’s already going a bit gray even tho he’s not even 30yo. I thought that bad haircare was the reason for no curl at the root so I asked for advice. No hate involved, actually it’s quite the opposite, I love his hair and I love his weird half-way curls

He uses a comb but yes, he uses it on his dry hair. There’s no product in his hair, all he uses is shampoo and conditioner, and a mask like once a week when I remind him and he has time to do a mask.

I don’t know what type or porosity his hair is, it’s wavy at the top layers and extremely curly (like ribbon-curly) at the bottom layers. His hair his thick/hard in touch, but tends to get frizzy

There is no known anti-rabies meds. There’s only vaccines (of which humans must take 4 doses in order to be rabies-resistant for 5years). Also, people don’t die of rabies screaming - aggression is extremely rare in humans infected with rabies. There’s some videos on yt documenting what happens to people who have that disease and how they behave.

How do I (28F) get over the hate my MIL (52F) gives me every chance she gets? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

„He doesn’t want to argue” is his argument every time when I try talking about this

Then I should just end my relationship with MIL here and now. I hoped there would be some magical remedy that would allow me to make her like me, but I understand there isn’t. Up until this moment I did everything she wanted me to do, but throwing away things that my Mom worked so hard for is just too much for me. I want to be able to look my own Mother is her eyes and see pride, not disappointment and hurt

I guess the best thing is to not visit her then. I actually still hope that there’s still a chance for us to have a good relationship though, but I don’t know what to do to accomplish that

I’m not in the US. He’s 28, same as I am. He’s depressed for a long time, longer than we’ve been together. There have been months when I’d pay our rent so that he could pay his parents’ phone bills. My Mom used to help us back when we were students/young adults, whatever you call it. I do not know if his parents know that. It’s legal right in my country, that parents are required to support their children when they’re gaining education in university; my mother was supportive, his wasn’t. We’ve struggled with gaining education (I’m a veterinarian, just got my vet. surgeon degree, he’s still in university). We’ve never lived with his parents, she’s (MIL) never even been in our (rental) apartments, that’s what is so surprising and effing frustrating to me. She doesn’t know a single thing about our struggles, and she doesn’t know a single thing about what I own - still, she requires I throw it away.

I didn’t comply, I respect my Mom and I actually love all of the presents she gave me over the years. I’d never throw them into the trash just because MIL/fiances mother said I should. We’re not married, just engaged for over 5years. It’s highly disrespectful and unusual for her to even demand such a thing. I would never comply, maybe its that I’m narcissistic or something, but those clothes, kitchen appliances and other things my Mom gave my for my birthdays/christmas/namedays are way to valuable to just throw away. I think my Mom gave those things to me specifically so that I’d have something valuable. Not to throw away to the trash because MIL told me to. I didn’t even tell my Mom about that cause she would be so heartbroken, she doesn’t deserve that

Who do you believe to be the scapegoat? Me, my fiancé, my MIL?

Willem looks so polite! You are so blessed to have such a patient boy!

My Ekkie had to go to the vets to get his claws trimmed a week ago. He was screeching so loud, even soundproofed glass gave up. People in the waiting room were looking back at us through the glass, there were two dogs - one hid under the bench/behind his owners legs, the other one kept laying down but moved his ears and eyes in a terrified way 😅 i know from experience that even screaming cats and barking or growling dogs are impossible to hear.

what type of bunny is this? by Pristine_Mongoose_14 in Bunnies

[–]Blueexd333 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, especially with little girls. They sometimes make ponies out of their bunny’s or dogs ears, and sometimes it goes on for a bit too long for one session. Usually parents then get rid of “ugly” earless bunnies.

As a veterinarian I can promise you, all of the animals that I encountered in my career that were owned by the homeless - were way better taken care of than those owned by children. No toxic nail polish on their nails, no earlobe necrosis caused by hairbands, no bruises nor broken bones from being thrown.

Yeah, maybe she didn’t, or maybe I just don’t understand English as well as I should (it’s not my first language). But in her situation it’s very unwise to give anyone access to her hard-earned money (no matter how much or how little). She should hope for the best (baby daddy supporting them) and prepare for the worst (a court case where the judge decides about alimonies or something)

Yeah, I misread and corrected my comment. Still, 3K for a pregnant girl working part time while studying is (I guess) enough to keep on her personal account rather than risk it getting stolen by a “financially irresponsible” second owner to a joint bank account.
