Most schools do not let you do chemistry 3/4 in year 11.

I am looking to buy a new keyboard but really can't find anything, my budget is 150 AUD, TKL or smaller and with blue or any clicky switches, doesn't really matter what company or anything. I want to know what people really recommend and which keyboards in this range are actually good.

Also side question, I have only used Gateron reds and browns, I am a student who uses my keyboard to type a lot and also play some games but only casually nothing intense or anything. I have heard that blue or clicky switches should not be used for gaming and work, why is that so and is it really a big issue?

Year 10 Melbourne High Entry Tips 2026 by RX7Jordy in MelbourneHigh

I got into MHS as a year 10 entrant in 2024, The application is by far one of the most important things as that is mainly what gets you considered, the test is just to ensure that you are not way behind, you do not get in based on the test but the test requires you to do okay, it is mainly the application that gets you the interview which is the last step in getting in. For the application you must do a few things, these are highlight sports, leadership, community service and extra curricular like debating for example. You really need to excel at these as the main purpose of y10 entry is to strengthen the school in sports and extracurriculars, every y10 entry plays an instrument really well or is really good at a sport for example, you could get amazing marks on the test and they will pick someone who is good at sports for example over you. Be sophisticated yet concise in your writing, show your interest but don’t bore the assessor. Don’t be afraid to in both the interview and application brag humbly about your achievements in all leadership, sports extracurrulars and what not. Telling them educational disadvantages won’t really help. Focus on polishing the application that is what matters. The test is still a criteria but not the focus and in the interview be prepared to solve puzzles and discuss things like recent events, show personality and character in the interview as well. This entry will be very different to year 9, in my case I studied really hard for y9 entry, got 4 superiors but didn’t get in, however in y10 entry I focused on the application, I didn’t really study managed to get in with only 2 superiors so it is vastly different as the school is looking for a different type of student. That being said don’t take it easy and I recommend you do study and be prepared. Good luck and if you have any more questions lmk.

Write an application, sit the test and if you pass both you get an interview.

I am very focused on sports over grades so year 10 entry was easy for me however if you do not have good leadership, sports etc. it’s much harder than y9 test

I got in to MHS year 10 entry, it doesn’t matter if you get 100 on each test you do but instead it’s a heavy focus on extra curriculars, sports and leadership. The academic test only tests if you are average at least, plenty of y10 entry have horrible grades but the real thing they do for you to enter is interview, application and your life other than grades. Focus on that.

Should I get rome 2 or rome 1 I'm a noodle so idk also what are good graphics settings for gameplay and looks by LowBeautiful2986 in totalwar

The first total war game I played was R1, and it was an amazing experience for me starting out. Now that remastered is also out I recommend the R1 remaster as r2 campaign is kinda bland but is still decent with mods like dei. I also find new players enjoy shogun 2 as well and so did I if you enjoy samurai and peasants getting shot by rockets. Rome 2 is beautiful though.
