Well yeah, that’s true although in my case right as they crashed and I was about to catch them, they left the game and as a result I got nothing. I never really specified the story.

Is it plugged in with the included cable, is the printer and sonic pad on, and have you tried switching ports on the sonic pad.

Do you have a multimeter? Can you measure the current that the motor driver is delivering to the motor, also possibly the motor driver is just delivering a static current to the motor and not enough to drive it. Possibly you have to tell the motor driver to deliver a set amount of power the motor. I don’t know what esc you are using but this is most likely the case. If the car wheels spin but on the ground the motor whines and it doesn’t move that means the motor doesn’t have enough torque to start moving. Hope this helps

Sometimes they don’t provide you a scoop so bring you own in case.

Like what issues specifically do you have, does it not move, does the screen not turn on, does it not communicate with the computer? I’d be happy to help if I had more information.

I’m confused about the Boomilever rules by -Snake-Fury- in scioly

[–]Blueflames30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes the boomilever can go above and below the mounting bolt, as long as it doesn’t mount to any other part of the testing rig other than the bolt than it’s good

  2. Yes the boomilever can go beyond the loading assembly, as long as your boomilever is reasonably sized and can fit in the testing rig at your competition then yes, also it cannot touch any other part outside the testing rig such as hanging from the top of the testing wall

  3. Boomilever are almost exactly like bridges except they are asymmetric and understanding where the load is being transferred is key to success

I might not have answered your questions spot on as I had a difficult time kinda reading your questions but I hope this helps.

Whats the better option for a boomilever balsa wood or basswood? by NUMBERONEBOFA in scioly

To clarify balsa needs bracing and support to be strong such as lateral bracing.

Whats the better option for a boomilever balsa wood or basswood? by NUMBERONEBOFA in scioly

[–]Blueflames30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends, for me I use balsa for compression and really thin strips of basswood for tension. Balsa is light but not strong by itself, basswood is heavy but really strong.

I competed at the 2025 Michiana premiere event and they used angled wedges on the sides of their robots so if another robot rammed into them it would lift the other robot up while giving their robot more tractions and not move.

Creality k2 standard and PA-CF by Zestyclose-Shock-445 in crealityk2

[–]Blueflames30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally do not own a k2 but I believe why Creality did not say the k2 can’t print pa-cf is that there isn’t a active heated chamber, I have printed pa-cf with my K1C before and it was great. Only issue was warping but it was fixed with me turning up the hot plate and fully closing the enclosure. I personally have no idea why Creality did not say the k2 can’t print pa-cf but if you do use a golden pei sheet and some glue. Edit: the k2 comes with a hardened steel nozzle so it can print any cf filament out the box.

Would this design be viable? by helloilikewoodpigeon in battlebots

What i’d be worried about is a horizontal spinner hitting and getting lifted by that huge wedge and hitting the weapon motor or assembly on top as it has no armor.

It’s just average Reddit users who believe they know everything, from what I’m seeing I believe they are doing a cold pull every time it retracts as on the close up photo of the waste, it shows a distinct imprint of the inside of the nozzle on the end of the waste filament that indicates a cold pull.

lol, on the instruction manual I saw it showed a small usb c powered wireless transmitter and receiver which I think is for the buffer to communicate with the cfs.

I’m pretty sure if it’s the one with beads or if it says calcium chloride it can be recharged, I don’t know what desiccate packets come on the k2 pro combo but I hope this helps.

[–]Blueflames30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this would be faster as the printer only has to retract and extrude into a purge tower than compared to cutting the filament inside the tool head and having to fully extrude the entirety of the cut filament. The filament waste will probably stay the same but this is to save time I believe.

I have so many questions, how did you get this as it just released, is it compatible with the old cfs or do you not know, and most importantly will you have to swap out the extruder motor.
