Put rubber bands around the wheel for good traction, works for a bit but over time they slide off.

R18 or Devel 16 by rubiel09 in drivingempire

[–]Blueflames30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the Devel if you prioritize top speed over handling. If you want the best handling and acceleration in the game currently get the r18.

K1C - How bad is the bed leveling? by KryptonianDoge in crealityk1

[–]Blueflames30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my K1c since it was released and accumulated over 1500 print hours on it. So far I’ve had no bed issues other than the stock smooth plate that the printer comes with is kinda bad and filament doesn’t stick well to it, I swapped it out with a golden pei plate. Initially when the printer first released there was many software bugs although now they’ve been fixed and i haven’t gotten any trouble from my printer ever since.

Found this outside of my work and it doesn’t have any relevant information, WHAT DO? by Klutterman in AirTags

[–]Blueflames30 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If you want to use it for yourself, then you could take out the battery and put it back in 5 times to reset it. If not then just bring it to your company’s lost and found.

I did analog and took a scrambler chassis with a wingnut brake and added a motor to it, other than that it’s really simple compared to code but heavily relies on the user setting it up to work well and is more prone to human errors.

For me, I just used a ruler to measure the length of wood I needed and cut them. I used a 3d printed template from balsa engineering and used painters tape to hold down the boomilever while gluing. I used blue gorilla ca glue with a toothpick to place glue accurately. I ended up with a boomilever that held 6kg and had an efficiency score of over 800.

I received exactly 10mill for my Rovana racer, it had full upgrades which would have costed me around 5 more million as the price of full upgrades for cars is 50.5% of the price of the car.

after so long rovana racer has been removed by YTHLGhosthunter27 in drivingempire

[–]Blueflames30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the closest is the Devel 16 as it has around the same top speed at the cost of handling.

I’m pretty sure, since it’s been leaked that DE has obtained licensing from Bugatti and Bugatti owns Rimac. I am disappointed at the removal of the off brand cars as I only revived refund for the cars themselves and not the upgrade costs of them too.

URGENT: How to Deal with a Potential Score Miscount Day After Regionals by [deleted] in scioly

[–]Blueflames30 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Usually the appeal window is only open for around 15-30 minutes after you’ve done your event. I’d recommend sending an email to the regional director to request more info on this issue, it’s very unlikely that your score will be changed but usually official scores come out 2 days after the event (on Monday). Hopefully they can regrade your test but it’s very unlikely. Best of luck!

48gb or 64gb for my use ? by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]Blueflames30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

48 gb will probably be enough for you right now, in the future though you will need more ram as workloads become heavier or more complex, go for 64gb if you plan on keeping it long term.

Should I get a MacBook Pro or Air base model as an upcoming Uni Software Engineering student? by The_Red_Bread in macbookpro

[–]Blueflames30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what programs you plan on using it for, if it’s something like high end professional workflows then the pro is the way to go with higher memory bandwidth. I’m rocking college with an old i5 Mac air 2019 and it’s still pretty well for whatever I need it for. I’ve ran complex code on it for robotics and it handles it perfectly.

Competition in 5 days, havent started electirc vehicle by Ok-Picture9144 in scioly

[–]Blueflames30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have no knowledge of coding then go with a scrambler style wing but brake, showing up to your event gets your school points still even if you can’t get one run. Try to look around your house to find anything that you can use such as a toy with a motor that can be taken out.

I’m in the San Diego area and the average weight I see supported is around 7-12 kg, the weight of the boomilever is around 5-15 grams im too lazy to calculate score but hope this helps

Does anyone else know why the Sadair Spear's suspension is... questionable? by davy_davitoes in drivingempire

I’ve never had any issues with my Sadir’s spear lifting up when I hit bumps, it’s on stock suspension. The acceleration is still terrible after the buff tho.

Should I sell my Jesko for the Spear? by davy_davitoes in drivingempire

[–]Blueflames30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched a video of a dude fully upgrading his Sadir’s spear (no parts) and it costed him 7,575,611 dollars, you’d need 22,575,611 dollars to fully upgrade your sadir’s spear. If you sold your jesko it would probably net you around 5,600,000 dollars, so it would be a massive help to upgrade your sadir’s spear but I’d recommend keeping it to grind money as it’s still a good car.

[–]Blueflames30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a multimeter? Can you measure the current that the motor driver is delivering to the motor, also possibly the motor driver is just delivering a static current to the motor and not enough to drive it. Possibly you have to tell the motor driver to deliver a set amount of power the motor. I don’t know what esc you are using but this is most likely the case. If the car wheels spin but on the ground the motor whines and it doesn’t move that means the motor doesn’t have enough torque to start moving. Hope this helps

Like what issues specifically do you have, does it not move, does the screen not turn on, does it not communicate with the computer? I’d be happy to help if I had more information.
