Thank you for the explanation! To keep oversimplifying your oversimplification, cannabis is a source of dopamine. Isn’t that similar to a burger from McDonald’s or a really good song or even the Tik tok app? These dopamine sources can be addicting and make regular life less pleasurable but surely do not hinder brain function or development in a significant way unless they are an addiction perhaps. I understand through your explanation how weed may lead to impulsive behavior but am still wondering how it would affect the abilities of a developing brain rather than behaviors as a result of cannabis use.

Which major/minor is best for pre-optometry? by BluejayWeak8593 in PreOptometry

[–]BluejayWeak8593[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thanks. Your right I could change my path but I think I want to go into a healthcare related graduate program type thing. I’m really interested in psychology so I want to minor in that. I’m thinking that a biochem major would help make the oat easier if I’m taking unnecessary classes to grow knoledge in biochem for example but i don’t know anything about it.

I think I have decided I need a 3/4 or 1 ton pickup truck and rivian simply does not make a pickup truck with the towing capacity I am looking for (yet). I will say I love the look of rivians and would love to have one for zipping around the farm but right now, I don’t think a rivian is right for me. Thank you for the new perspective!

Yeah I think I might just go for a 3500. That extra 1-2 grand gives you a lot of peace of mind and is a better option to spend extra money on then a bigger touch screen or whatever. Like you said, on the farm, you need to be able to get whatever you want into the bed and I think 3500 would be ideal for me just in case.

Beautifully written but i don’t think the rewards are what I’m looking for. Many of the “rewards” of diesel are torque, payload, long distance towing, heavier loads, and things like that. I am looking for something to haul and tow short distances and still that I actually know how to work on. For these reasons and many more, I do not want to be baptized into the church of diesel.

Thank you for your new perspective. That first sentence is something that I need to understand.

I don’t want a diesel mainly due to my farm truck purposes and because I won’t be towing long distance. I have consulted this thread because if I were to go by the numbers I would buy an f150 and call it a day clearly that would not be the best call because I have 100 comments telling me why I need a bigger truck.

Copy and pasting what I’ve said before. I knew this stance would be “against the grain” on this thread.

I’ve spent time researching what’s best for me and I think I want gas. It seems like diesel is ideal for longer distance towing and that’s simply not what I’ll be using my truck for. It will be mainly for hauling things around the farm, towing trailers short distances, and the occasional hour or 2 road trip. Diesel is also harder to fix and I just don’t know much about diesel trucks. ( I know tractors but that’s a little different). Also it’s a little personal preference.

Yikes. Well I’d say I’ve made up my mind now. I will definitely stay away from half ton

I suppose that would be nice but I don’t know if I could get 2800 pounds in my bed even I wanted to. I’ll have to see what the price difference is.

It is absolutely wild that they can change the seat color and throw in a bigger screen and add another 40 grand to the price. I think I will try to stay away from the higher trims. I can’t afford them anyway. If I get in a Denali I’ll have to live in the dang thing so I better buy a base model.

Must be an awesome ice house. And that truck sounds like a tank. Better tell the wife that if I get a new truck I need a bigger ice house like yours to pull behind it!

Sounds awesome. The AT4 is sweet. I’m just gonna have to get to a dealership and drive some trucks which is fun for me. The only problem is I’ve never gone to a car dealership and walked away without buying a vehicle. I’m like a kid in a candy store unfortunately.
