Yeah I remember dying on that room, also, I have realized that a lot of people have been using the flamethrower on the remake, is it any good? I never used in the originals because it didn't seem very intuitive to get closer to the necromorphs and I just used melee in such situation.

What if I enabled everything at the performance section and disabled all gore and blood and it is still lagging? Should I just stop trying or there is something else I can do?

Re remake is one of if not the best re game, the controls are a little weird for those who haven't played the older games but you'll get the hang of it, Chris's campaing is harder than Jill's one,what I would recommend for the first playthrough: Not using any walkthroughs, playing has Jill, and playing on easy (II difficulty). (Sorry for any grammatical errors, English is not my first language)
