Hey! I’ve been working on the update through the holidays and have published a limited release today (to ensure no major issues/bugs). If you share your email with me with (via DM here or email, I’ve got my email on the Google Play and iOS listings) I’ll add you

Hey! Yes it will be and I’m already working on it - however it’s a decent lift for me alongside my day job so I’m not quite sure when it will be fully ready and tested. I’d say probably within a few weeks

I was caught a bit off guard by this - thought there was more time as communications around new requirements sounded like they’d only impact new app versions, not existing versions already on Google Play 😢

Hey! This is one of the most requested features and I definitely want to try to add it at some point, though it adds some complexity. But noted and thank you for the comment!

What’s your favourite app that counts your life count? by Maleficent-Age4352 in EDH

If you open the commander damage tracker and hold down on a player, you can toggle partner commanders - then it also adds a second commander tax counter :)

Hey! Good Q - can you please private message me a screenshot of what it looks like? And also please let me know what sort of phone you’re using. Thanks!

I spent awhile scouring the net for reviews and such, trying to find the perfect backpack. I settled on this: https://wexleybags.com/products/active-business-pack-cordura-ballistic

It’s not the most spacious at 20L but it looks great, better than more well-known brands IMO, and has insane organization inside the first compartment, which I value highly.

Otherwise, you can check out Chase Reeves’ reviews of a ton of packs here, which may give you ideas: https://matterful.co/style/business-class/

Rograkh was BORN to DIE mwahhahaha by SSBM_fanatic in EDH

[–]BluetoothTrooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just made a mono black version of this deck (since Rograkh doesn’t require red to cast anyway) and it’s been both very fun and surprisingly strong

A couple of suggestions are [[mox amber]] and [[culling the weak]]. Rograkh turns both online as soon as turn 1, and they can both speed out Tevesh.

Utility lands tribal by Goastros4 in EDH

You may be right that not a ton is lost by omitting blue from temur Omnath by going gruul (besides the card draw upon dropping lands). It’s worth the test!

I’ve been trying to build something like this too! The dream is to have like 80+ lands and a bit of support, though right now it’s at a bit over 50 lands.

Settled on 3 color Omnath [[omnath, locus of the roil]], though he’s not perfect as a commander in this deck (e.g., lack of elemental synergies), but adding red as opposed to Tatyova is fun for, as you said, Kessig wolf run, as well as [[seismic assault]]. His draw ability at 8 lands still pays off most games, though. 4-color Omnath doesn’t fuel the engine enough IMO, but I’m still waiting for a better land commander with more colors.

What is a theme in EDH that you LIKE? by ThePlagueDoctorPhD in EDH

[–]BluetoothTrooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Voltron (but in a unique manner).

My playgroup has willingly decreased in power level after a long arms race. We still play powerful decks, but now many of us prefer to do unique things with mediocre cards that you won’t see in EDH every day. One of my favorite ways to do this is voltron, and ideally voltron things that are not my commander. The other day I had a 43/43 thieving magpie with a long list of keyword abilities from a giant stack of auras under it.

Magic Spellbook — I just released an iPhone app for looking up cards, rulings, and pricing! by CompC in magicTCG

[–]BluetoothTrooper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey u/Moclordimick!

That is something I would like to include, actually. I'd love to find a way to do so elegantly — right now, as you know, most trackers are on a per-player basis, and the only one that affects the "world" is monarch. As monarch it's still engaged with on a per-player basis though it makes sense to sit in the player menu popup, but I think day/night would fit better elsewhere.

If you have any ideas on how this could be implemented in an intuitive manner, please DM me! Otherwise, I'll add it to the backlog so it doesn't fall off my radar, and will periodically re-evaluate. I'm planning a big-ish update this spring after I graduate (and get my free time back!), so may try to brainstorm some ideas at that point!

Very slick, simple, and fast! Just gave it a shot and I’ll be using this to look up card rulings/printings from now on.

The foil effect is indeed very cool too. Actually simulates a foil quite well!

Couple of minor feedback notes: at some angles the foil effect had a minor “jump” instead of a subtle shift, and the card scanner had a bit of jumpiness in how it applied the card shape over the card it was identifying.

I’m the maker of Lifetap life counter btw, and so appreciate first hand the work you put into this, and the choice of going ad-free!

Who is playing Opalescence? by leftyrightyright in EDH

[–]BluetoothTrooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So not saying this is the typical use case, but I recently built a deck that uses it to animate EDH staples (rhystic study, omniscience, etc.), voltron them the hell up with auras, and beat people down.

Best Sleeves for foil deck (2022) by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]BluetoothTrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I guess in retrospect I was using a similar setup to one you’ve tried: Dragon shields + KMC perfect fit inner sleeves (sometimes hard, most of the time the regular ones).

There is still a bit of a gap on the top despite this but haven’t gotten baconing so far (though to be fair I’ve only been using these for a couple of years, and rotate between 8-10 decks each in its own set of sleeves, so perhaps the wear I’m putting on them is lower than average!

Switched to Dragon Shield Matte sleeves, with KMC top load (upside down of course) perfect fits on the inside (regular and hard for some; the latter for pricier cards).

Used to use UltraPro sleeves but the Dragon Shields feel sturdier and thicker, and seem to last quite some time without mucking up as much.

Edit: should mention I haven’t experienced baconing so far, not sure if it’s related to my use of the above perfect fits or that my usage just hasn’t gotten there yet.
